Mr James Cameron Island May 11th 1862

Sunday Went to the Little Island Steamers going in abundance Seen a Fox on the Lane all alone

12th Livinia Sick Lashey came planted 2 Rows more of Potatoes Lashey seen Angus on the Front has a Letter Christees came home gave Lashey his Knife setting Fires harrowed the Garden Fixing the Red Canoe some Wind high

13th Lashey crofsed to see if Henery would come to split his Logs Tried the Perch wind too high in the Evening caught 9 Perch for the first Hollowing to Charlie to come

14th Charlie Passed Henery splitting Logs I went to Charlies Mr Morris & Mrs Morris & Bill here I & Charlie to Williamstown Left the canoe at the Raft could not Pafs

15th came home went to Fish caught 24

16th Went to Salmon River Bought of Buchanan 1/2 lb Tea 2/6 3 papers of seed 18 cents sold 6 Bottles 24 cents took 1/4 of tea For them gave Mr Streeter 11 Rats L2..60 cents to my accompt got the Harnefs for the colt From Mr Morris came through Succour creek or Devils creek came home Lashey to st Annicet to Fish Bafs some one at the house Left a cake of sugar in my trunk 3 1/2 lbs cat & Ruster gone some of Christies I suppose Jar gone

7th Harnefsed the colt Harrowed some Planted 1 Quart of corn & Pumpkins colt Run off

18th Sunday Henery here gave me a sturgeon Livinia sick

19th Fixing the Fence on the Pitt Point Found 2 nest 7 in on 2 in another

Angus came with the Cows Bought of A Summers on the 17th 5 Basins 3/- Rake 1/3 Hammer 1/3 1/2 lb Tobacco 1/- Brandy a Treat -/7 1/2

21st crofsed with Angus & 2 Boys Bought of A Summers 1 lb sugar 17 1/3 lb crackers -/9 5 cents to Henerys wife /3 1 Bottle Liniment 1/3 1 of Castor oil -/7 1/2 3 Tin Pans 1/6 4/6 Ploughing Bill for Pease

22nd Sowed the New Pease & harrowed them

23rd Sowed Peas

24th Queens Birth Day sowing harrowing & Ploughing Francis here aoub the Little Island Mully her calf to night

25th Sunday I took her from the head of the Island the corn Peeping up Frosty night now very cold Abraham came last night for Bill & the old Man

26th Sowed the Last of the Pease Sowed 2 Bushels of Barley

27th Ploughing Behind the Barn

28th taking off some stones Finished sowing the Wheat

30th Went to Williamstown stopt all night

31st took the sow & five pigs from Williamstown Went to Salmon River with the scow Nicholssons shearing their Ram the Boston aground at the Lower Point

1st of June Bob & Ann here Lewis Christee here Mary Christee took away her hen

2nd Shearing the sheep planted Potatoes in the Garden Gave Lewis Christe order on A Summers for 3/9 on account of Rent Vin not well

3rd Fishing Perch

4 of June Harrowing above the Barn for Wheat

5th Went to A Summers to 5 3/4 Ashes 3/10 Bought of A Summers 10 1.2..5 worth credit
