Mr James Cameron Island Jany the

Went to head of the Island with Gray Went to the Little Island with the truck Drawing Drags put out 3 pills for the Fox on ice in the Bay snowing

31st chopping Wood Drew a Big Basswood stick

1st of February Sunday a Fine Day wind Raised through the night about 3 oclock the pipes Took Fire in the Morning of the 2nd the house near Going cleaned the pipes the Big Maple came Down with the storm and the stump in the Marsh My canoe Blowed into the airhole and out of it shingles of of the house

3rd Went to the ice put out some Bushes chopping stove wood cold Day to Day

4th a very cold Day the coldest we had this year this far came for the hay James Grant Angus about 3/4 of a Tun upset with the Load on the ice Laurie's Birth Day (21 now) cold night

5th colder Day still east Wind snowing to night Freezing hard everything Froze in the house

6th a snowy stormy Day went for the Truck the ice snow Deep went to tsee the traps

7th Breaking Roads went to Head of the Island took home my Traps from there snow Deep 2 Foxes at the airhole all Day Playing William Hamilton Departed this Life Malcom Dingwall poorly M Lauchlans Daughter poorly Se{cut off} poorly

Mr James Cameron Island Livinia sick a very fine Day the Baby Boarn Gordon son I crofsed Heard of William Hamiltons Death Semo went for Mrs Morris I had to turn Midwife Myself crofsed for Margaret Henerys Girl

9th Went to A Summers Bought 1 Gal Whiskey 2/6 nails -/6 Tallow 6/6 Tea 1/2 lb 1/4 1/2 Saffras -/2 nutmeg -/6 Sugar 2 lbs 1/3 Broom -/5 2 yds calico 1/8 Soap 1/3 Left my Horse at Roses Antwine Bosell Married to Day to Jessimas Girl a Treat on the Boys at the store 1/3 came home stormy East Wind William Hamilton Buried to Day

10th I went for Semos Cutter took it Home

11th Went home with Mrs Morris stopt at Henerys took home the Basket

12th chopping Wood cold some

13 Margaret went home to go to the Ball Mary Ann cmae to Ball; to night at Davids

Valentine 14th Valentine Day Mary Ann went home Thrashing Wheat The Fee cut off Thomas Munroe Margaret & Henery came

Sunday 15th Henery went home Thawed & Rain some Last night Warmer to Day High Wind

16th Thrashing Wheat a fine Day

17th Took home a Drag Henry & Wife here all night

18th James Hugh's Birth Day Ash Wednesday Gave Henery an order for 4/- on A Summers Bought of A Summers Flour {illegible} 2/9 candles -/6 castor oil -/7 1/2 Treat 1/3 Got Some {illegible} with me gave him 1 Bushel of Oats ({illegible} 1-90 1 1/2)
