Mr James Cameron Island August 3rd 1864

3 Men here for Mr Jones's Raft of {illegible} this Cameron that was Killed in California was his uncle he Lives on the Ottawa Gave them cucumbers Got 6/10 1/2 from men for their Grub

5th Mr Halton & Howard slept in the Barn Fixed the clock for nothing

6th Charlie here Brought me 3 eels for salt Fixing my fat Pine Thunder & Lightning Gave Charlie the Book the Murder of Corrigan

7th Tom Scuthers here Lent him my Gun for a week on 6 Dollars cash Lost my Pipe I think it was stole

8th Monday crofsed 5 Indians got Abe Down Heavy Rain

9th Mowing Long Berries Ripe

10th Left the Augur for what {illegible} me young chickens 11 of them {illegible} choke cherries Ripe

12th George Semo here & got a Load shot I crofsed to Mr Harpers Got 11 or 12 long P{illegible} on it & 1 lb candles /10 a Treat paid on the Girl 2 Gal Whiskey took Powell some Cucumbers Bought of Renshaw 1/2 lb Tea 7 b{illegible} cut the Barley smoky time

13th George Morris gave me an{illegible} put in the Barley 6 coils of it gave me an{illegible} put in the Barley 6 coils of it something in Georges eye & something in my eye to Christie here Mary Bone here Rondwells 2 Girls Maggy Henry & Sandy

14th Lis George Picking Long Black Berries Gave George an Mary Bone here gave me an{illegible} preaching on the Front {rest of line illegible}

Mr James Cameron Island August the 15th 1864

went to Renshaws Bought 1 Gal of Whiskey 2 Barrel 2/3 paid John Gray 10/- for 2 sticks of timber 1 Bottle of Ink Treat 1 Bag of salt 2/6 Charlie and me to Williamstown took 1 of oak 1 Pine a handle

16th came home Got a sword in Williamstown

17th George crofsed Tom Fixing his canoe Gave Charlie some salt Mowing some George North with the Hunters 18th Thrashing the Barley 4 1/2 Bushels of this peice above the house Tom Fixed the sives

19th Began the pease Tom to Frashers Tom Scutters took hom my Gun

20th cut the Wheat Scutters & his wife here Betsy & George to Salmon River put in a Load of Pease Tom came for his Gaffs

21st Tom went off George and Betsy came 2 lbs shot

22nd George went home Raining put in 2 small Loads of Wheat eggs plenty {illegible} a short peice of Line

23 cutting Pease Sandy Semo came in the evening

24th {illegible} cutting the pease put in a Load of Pease Sandy Semo Mowing

25th caught 4 peices of Timber belonging to Boyd & Roach all the pease in and tame hay Went to Renshaws Sandy & I took over a Man for -/4 1/2 a stormy night stopt all night at Renshaws Seen Neil Mathieson on the St Lawrence Young Angus got the Loan of the Brush Hook
