12th On this Day of the month McMaster first came to the Island stormy cold

13th Drew 2 Loads of Wood Christee here had nothing to eat Gave him some Potatoes and Pease & his Breakfast Tobacco

16th Went as far as Renshaws with Lis she got a Ride acrofs stopt a while with Powell went Down with Charlie forgot his sleigh got the Load of a Half Barrel from him got some Red Pepper Blackbirds came seen 2 Ducks Grey Birds Races in Salmon River

17th Doing Little or nothing

18th Drawing Wood 1 cutter crofsed Summer's Road ice Bad in Salmon River no sleighs crofsing Getting Bad around the Points went up in the Bush for the first time this month so very Deep

19th Sunday Charlie here for his sleigh 2 of Christees coming acrofs but the turned Back air hole Before the Door opened horses out Picking all Day hens not Laying yet
