Mr James Cameron Island Nov 21st 1865

21st on this Day of the Month Donald McMaster Departed in the year 1846 East Wind a sail crofsing from Below to Christees very stormy night

22nd very Bad with the Pain Tried the red pepper and I think it does best of anything I tried yet the Salaberry did not come to Day

23rd The Salaberry came up to Day and started Down again Pat came from Maitland

24th Lashey here him and Pat to Mr Harpers for me Bought 1 Bottle of RRR 1/3 1/2 lb Saleratus 1/4 lb salts some oatmeal Mr Harper Gave Sent a Letter to Mr Leo Laduke Bridgeman St Timothy Postage Paid Lashey stopt all night

25th St Catherine Bossy and the Batchelor together Lashey went off a Great many Fishing eels steamers a Going very Bad with my Back yet

Sunday the 26th 2 Indians spearing eels before the Door came up from Charlies Salaberry went into Salmon River

27th Salaberry went Down snowing I found a Bottle at Lower end of the Island and a Cedar stick that was blew up with the storm very Bad with my Back yet

28th Trying to catch the Horses Boats a Going yet

29th Drew some Drags going about a Little now

30th St Andrews Day the Scotch Festival Went to Mr Harpers Bought 5 Gal Whiskey 1/3 paid Pat a Quart too Took Charlie home very staving Got some camphor From Mr Harper

1st of December Charlie here wind High snowing some

2nd Drawing wood Pat and I to Mr Harpers Pat got 2 Letters Bought a spool of Red Thread Charlie went home

Sunday 3rd writing 4 Letters for Pat Mrs Morris and George here stopt all night

4th Went off Gave her some yarn to Make Mittens for me Went to fish EEls got 13 Let out the Little Ram A Boat Proppeller went Down

5th Pat and I crofsed Pat Bought churn 6/3 7/6 worth of Flour 1 Quart Whiskey I Bought 1 Coat L.2..2..6 from {illegible} Summers 1 spool of thred Bought of Mr Harper 1/2 Gal oil {illegible} 1/3 paid this) took Dinner there
