Oct. 17. - Sun. - Went to church this p.m. Rev. Mr. Scanton preached. Laura + I went down to St. George's this Eve to service. Elsie + Hyne were out this p.m.

Oct. 18. - Mon. - We washed.

Oct. 19. - Tues. - I took a lesson this a.m. as Jean was in town yesterday. I ironed. Papa has been helping Mr. Bishop pick up potatoes. They are digging with a potato-digger. It is cold weather.

Oct. 20. - Wed. - Mrs. Walter Smith, Mrs. Earnie McDougall + Mrs. Jno. Walker were here for dinner + tea. I helped Mrs. Knapp this p.m. to cook for their "husking Bee" ^to-night. Mama + I went over to-night to help her.

Oct. 21. - Thur. - It rained.

Oct. 22. - Fri. - Rev. Mr. Johnston was here for dinner. It is a rainy day. We are cooking + getting
