June 1909.

June 1 - Tues. - We cleaned the parlor

June 2 - Wed - Started to clean the dining room & also stitch- ched our curtains. Irene Mallory & Allen Bissell were married 9 p.m.

June 3 - Thur. - Papered the dining- room to-day. Mrs. Beattie (Jr.) came up to-night & we made the frame for my embroidy hat

June 4 - Fri. - We finished our dining-room to-day. It rained this Eve

June 5 - Sat. - It rained some & has been cloudy all day. We put our stove out to-day I went to the factory to-night (as it is the first night they made butter this summer) & I stopped at Mrs. Beatties Mrs. J. Beattie finished my hat to-night. Henry Willard & Mr. Geo. Tassey went fishing

to-night but did not catch any fish.

June 6 - Sun. - Laura & I went to Presbyterian church this a.m. I laid down this p.m. & wrote a letter to Lulla Daniels this Eve. The new preach, Mr. Wright preached at St. Georgs this Eve for the first.

June 7 - Mon. - We washed this is Mason’s night.

June 8 - Tues. - I went down to Annies this a.m. & came back with Mary (as she drove up to Mr. E. Dudleys (she) to practise with Mrs Lambert Dudley to sing on Sun.

June 9 - Wed. - I ironed to-day

June 10 - Thur. - I washed the wood work in the kitchen. Gordon Walker came down this Eve.

June 11 - Fri. - Went up to Mrs. J Wrights this p.m. Mary came up & Mrs. E. Dudley came down to the church

to practise for Sun. I trained my sweet peas this Eve.

mama started painting the kitchen wood-work to-day

June 12 - Sat. - Elsie & Hyne went to town 6:30 p.m. & left the children here. They stayed all night but Elsie & Hyne went home. I took the children to the factory to-night.

June 13 - Sun. - Elsie & Hyne came out this p.m. Mrs. E. Dudley sang two solos at Bethel Church this p.m. there was a thunder storm 1.30 to-night & the lightning struck Manley Field’s barn & burnt it.

June 14 - Mon. - We washed Papa went to Algoma to get his horses shod I took a music lesson this p.m. Mama’s eyes took sore to-day.

June 15 - Tues. - I ironed this a.m

Laura was over this a.m. Mama + I pulled up all the dandelions + weeds in our front yard this Eve.

June 16. - Wed. - Mama went to the ladies aid this past.m. at Mrs. Jno. Corbett's. Her eyes are no better.

June 17. - Thur. - Mrs. Wm. Easton. Ethel Rath & Baby Egerton were here this past.m. also Annie + Howard. It rained this past.m. + Eve.

June 18. - Fri. - I went to Mrs. Wright's this p.m. + brought my skirt home. There was a hail shower this p.m. Mr. J. Easton invited the Presbytterian choir to his place for ice cream this Eve.

June 19. - Sat. - I planted potatoes.

June 20. - Sun.- Laura + I went to Presbyterian church this a.m. Henry went up to Grandma's this afternoon.m. Mr. + Mrs. Meyer. came here before church + left there horse. They stayed a while after church. {Unintelligible}. Meyer preached his farewell sermon this Eve at Bethel. I wore my new dress this Eve for the first.

June 21 - Mon - We washed this a.m. I went down to Jean's this p.m. & took my lesson & stayed for tea.

June 22 - Tues - I ironed. Mama painted the kitchen floor to-day. The pupils from our school went to Prescott to-day to try the Entrance

June 23 - Wed - Mama went up to Mr. Lockwood's this p.m. Papa took a load of good to Prescott for Dr. Meyer. Our new minister Rev. A. B. Johnston arrived at Algonquin 5 p.m. & the Ladies had

a reception tea for him at the parsonage. I went up to Mary Easton's this p.m. Elicta Bissell came up after school. We walked up to the Corner after tea to see the Entrance papers

June 24 - Thur - Buffalo Bill Circus is in town to-day. We did not go. Henry clipped Jack out dog this Eve. Mama talked to Elsie at Central p.m.

June 25 - Fri - Mama went up to Grandma Manhard's this a.m. & Henry & I went for her this Eve. Papa & J. Dalton went away this Eve also.

June 26 - Sat - Papa went to town this a.m. I had a sick - headache all day & cannot hear out of my right ear. Henry went to town this Eve. We moved into the kitchen this p.m.

June 27 - Sun - We separated the milk this a.m. Went

June 28. - Mon. - We washed. I went up to Mrs. Bishop's this a.m. Mr. Lockwood was here this past p.m. Hyne + Charlie came out for a little pig this Eve.

June 29. - Tues. - I ironed this a.m. Went down to Warner's this past a.m. Miss Daniels + Miss H. Byers came there 4.p.m. + stayed till Eve then they brought me home.

June 30.- Wed. - I ironed this a.m. Will Throop + Effie drove through the yard this a.m.

July 1 - Thur - Dominion Day. Elsie and Hyne went to the Blue Church Cemetery to the unveiling of Barbara Hick's Monument, & left the children here. I cleaned the cupboard this a.m. Our bees swarmed this a.m. but went back to the hive again.

July 2 - Fri. - I picked 59 boxes of straw-berries at Mr. Warner's to-day. Our bees swarmed & we hived them.

July 3 - Sat. - I swept the chamber to day, Went up to Mrs. R. Bishop's this Eve for butter - milk. Papa went to town this Eve. My hearing is better now.

July 4 - Sun. - Annie, Willard & Howard came up this a.m. Mama, Annie & I went to

S.S. this p.m. We all went to church this Eve & papa kept Howard.

July 5 - Mon. - I picked 54 boxes of berries to-day. This is Mason's night. Papa & Henry started to do road work to-day.

July 6 - Tues. - We washed & churned.

July 7 - Wed. - I picked 35 boxes of berries. Elsie & children & Minnie Throop came out to Mr. Warner's this a.m. Bishop Mills preached at St. Georges's this Eve. Mama & Mrs. J. Dalton went down & I came home with them.

July 8 - Thurs. - I ironed. Mrs. Beattie (Sr.) was here this p.m. I went down to Mrs. Beattie's this Eve also over to the cemetery & Mrs. Kyle's with Mrs. Beattie.

July 9 - Fri. - I picked 27 boxes of berries. I cut the grass

on Uncle Hugh's plot this p.m. Took a bath to-night.

July 10 - Sat. - Went to town with Mr. Warner's. Saw Mr. Gordon on the market. Went up the river with Annie, Mary & Willard on the Citizen's Band Excursion to Alex. Bay. It rained all the p.m. Left Brockvill 1.30 p.m. arrived 7 p.m. I stayed at Aunt Jane Newell's all night.

July 11 - Sun. - It has been a warm day. Henry & Elsie came in for me this Eve. We bid Ethel Rath goo-bye she is to start West Tues.

July 12 - Mon. - I picked 32 boxes of berries. Came home this Eve. Willard went to the Orange Walk at Perth.

July 13 - Tues. - We washed. Went to Mr. Walker's woods for ferns this p.m. Elsie, Minnie Throop & Ethel were here

this p.m. Mr. Cordingley was here this p.m. agent for pianos. Laura was over this Eve.

July 14 - Wed. - I ironed. Mama went to the Ladie's Aid at Mrs. V. Well's this p.m. Papa went up for her this Eve.

July 15 - Thur. - I ironed this a.m. Raked with the horse-rake after tea. Went over to Mrs. Knapp's after tea. This Eve.

July 16 - Fri. - Picked 6 boxes of berries at Mrs. Warner's. It rained. Mary came up with me this Eve for choir practice but no one came so she stayed here all night.

July 17 - Sat. - Mary went home on the milk-rig this morning. Elsie & Hyde went to town this p.m. & left the children here. Florence Manhard was here this Eve. She came out to her grand-father's this p.m.

July 18 - Sun - Mama & Laura went to Presbyterian church this a.m. There was a heavy electric storm this noon. Went to church this Eve.

July 19 - Mon. - We washed. Mama went raspberrying this p.m. Jean Robertson was here for tea. Mama & Henry went up to Grandma's this Eve. Papa went over to Mr. Kyle's & I went over to Mrs. Knapp's. Art McGanity came out to Mr. A. P. Bissell's this Eve also P. Dales came out to Mrs. Beattie's

July 20 - Tues. - I ironed. Mama went down to Annie's this a.m. Went to a meeting to arrange for our annual social which is to be July 29.

July 21. - Wed. - I raked Mrs. J. Beattie. P. Dales. also A.M. [McIanity] + Edgar Bissell were here this Eve playing croquet.

July 22. - Thur. - Mrs. R. Bishop, Mama, + I went berrying this a.m. back of Mr. Wright's. Mama + I went over to Knapp's for ice-cream to-night. It is raining.

July 23. - Fri. - It rained all day. I went up to Mr. R. Bishop's + Mr. Lockwood's this Eve on an errand.

July 24. - Sat. - Papa went to town this p.m. It has been showery to-day- G. L. Riches called this p.m. Eva Easton came home to-day for 2 weeks.

July. 25. Sun. - Went to church + S.S. this p.m. Went over to Mrs. Knapp's this Eve.

July 26. - Mon. - Mama + I went berrying down to Ferguson's to-day- Also, Mrs. J. Beattie Pearl Wales, Mrs. J. Walton, Mrs. Warner + Annie. We got 10 quarts. A load of gypsies went past this p.m. Went to choir practise this Eve at the church. Mr. G. L. Riches was here this Eve.

July 27. - Tues. - We washed + scrubbed.

July 28. - Wed. - We have been cooking for our social. Mama went up to Mrs. R. Bishop's to make candy for the Ladies Aid booth. I raked this p.m.

July. 29. - Thur. - It has been a rainy but is a fine night for our social. They took in about $ 75.00 at the social this Eve. Bethel Social

July 30. - Fri. - We went up to the hall to straighten up this a.m. Arthur [McGanity] was here for tea.

July 31. - Sat. - I went up to Mrs. Orr's this Eve. Henry went to town + mama went up to Mr. Walker's.

August 1909.

Aug 1. - Sun. - I went to S.S. Elsie Hyne. + children came out this p.m. Went to church this Eve. Annie, Willard + Mary stopped here after church. Will Orr. + wife came out to Mr. Orr's this p.m.

Aug. 2. - Mon. - Mrs. J. Beattie, Mary Warner + I went berryiny this morning. Will Orr. his wife + little Helen were here this Eve. This Mason's night.

Aug. 3. - Tues. - I raked this p.m.

Aug. 4. - Wed. - We finished haying 1.30. p.m. Mr. G. L. Riches, wife + little boy came here this p.m. The Rifle Contest was held this p.m. between Brockville + S. Augusta. Brockvill won by 60 points. They had supper in

Aug. 5. - Thur. - We went to picnic at Perry's Point 1. p.m. Had several rides in a put-put-

Aug. 6. - Fri. - Papa + mama went to Algonquin this a.m. Henry + I went to the Baptist Social. Algonquin this Eve. It has been very warm all week. Mr. Thorp died this morn. aged 86.

Aug. 7. - Sat. - It is very warm. Papa went to town this a.m. Choir practise at the church this Eve.

Aug 8. - Sun. - Annie + Howard came up this a.m. Henry, Annie, + I went to Mr. Thorp's funeral 1.30 p.m. at the house, 2nd concession. It is a very warm day. Mrs. J. Walton + I went to St. George's church this Eve.

Aug. 9. Mon. - We washed. I took a lesson this p.m. Went down to Mrs. [J.] Landon's this Eve. Mrs. Landon took sick the night after of the picnic at Perry's Point + She is not much better.

Aug. 10. - Tues. - Mama went down to Mrs. Landon's this p.m. I received a post-card from Myrtle Mylks this Eve.

Aug. 11. - Wed. - Mama went up to Mrs. S. Wright's this a.m. Papa went to Algonquin this p.m. I was talking to Elsie at Mr. C. John's 6.30 p.m.

Aug 12. - Thur. - Papa + mama went to town this a.m. Mama bought me a white waist.

Aug. 13. - Fri. - Mama washed my plaid dress. I swept upstairs also the parlor. Mama went up to Mrs. Walker's this Eve. I wrote a letter to Luella Daniels. this Eve.

Aug. 14. - Sat. - I have had a head-ache to-day. Henry went to town this Eve. Elsie, Hyne, + children went to town this p.m. Charlie + Ethel had their pictures taken.

Aug. 15. - Sun. - I went to S.S. this p.m. Rev. A. B. Johnston was here for tea + he stayed all night. Church was to be to-night but there was not many there as it was a rainy night. Henry went up to Grandma's this a.m.

Aug. 16. - Mon. - It is raining this a.m. Lv. Rev. Mr. Johnston went away this a.m. Took a lesson this p.m. Henry was up to the shooting range to-day. They are practising for the shooting match which is to be held to-morrow, between Brockville + South Augusta. School started to-day. We have no teacher for Read's yet as Miss Fox is going to normal.

Aug. 17. - Tues. - Annie ^ Howard + I went up to Grandma Manhard's this a.m. Papa came up for us this Eve. The Shooting Contest was held this p.m. at the Brockville Shooting Range. South Augusta won by 79 points. The teams had their supper at the St. Lawrence Hall. Recieved a letter frtom Luella Daniels this morn saying she can come up Sat. to visit us.

Aug. 18. - Wed. - This is Ruby Bishop's birthday. We washed. Papa went to

Aug 20 - Fri. - I swept to-day. Mary Warner came up for choir practise this Eve but no one came. We played croquet.

Aug. 21. - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. Henry + I went over to the cemetery this a.m. Henry + I went in ^ Brockville this Eve for Miss Daniels.

Aug. 22. - Sun. - Luella + I went over to the cemetery this a.m. Annie came up this a.m. We went to church this p.m. Elsie, Hyne + children were here for tea. Luella + I went to St. Georg's this Eve.

Aug. 23. - Mon. - We washed. Went down to Warner's for tea. Our school started to-day. Mrs. Beattie is teaching.

Aug. 24. - Tues. - Went down to Mr. G. Landon's for tea. Stopped to see Mrs. Dalton on the way home.

Aug. 25. - Wed. - We ironed. Went to "St. George's Annual Picnic." this p.m. Brockville Citizen's Band gave music. Proceeds $186.00. +St. Georg's Picnic." Bertie Donnelly was married 12. O'Clock.

Aug. 26. - Thur. - Went to Mrs. Beattie's for tea.

Aug. 27. - Fri. - Luella + I went up to Mrs. Bissell's this pm. but did not stay for tea. Elsie, Hyne + family came out this p.m. We had ice cream for tea. Mr. Wm. Kyle was here for tea also as he cut a piece of grain for us.

Aug 28. - Sat. - Luella + I went to the factory this a.m. Papa took Luella in

Aug. 30. - Mon. - We washed. This is Mason's night. Henry is helping Johnnie Dalton draw in grain this p.m. Mr. Stephan Hemmingway came out to Mr. G. Landon's Sat. He was over to Laura's for dinner. It is quite cold to-night.

Aug. 31. - Tues. - Papa went to town this a.m. I ironed. I had a pain in my head this p.m. There was a heavy thunder storm 7.30 p.m. Theodore St. Jogny Beattie were here this Eve.- the bosy went duck hunting 9.30 p.m. Henry went with them.

September. 1909.

Sept. 1. - Wed. - Mama went up to Mrs. Wm. Easton's this a.m. + to The Ladies Aid at Mrs. Geo. Dudley's (Jr.) this p.m. Henry came home to-night but did not get any ducks. The boys got 4.

Sept. 2. - Thur. - I went town this a.m. Had my teeth treated. Mama + I went to our S.S. Picnic in Mr. Wm. Kyle's woods this p.m.

Sept. 3. - Fri. - Norris + Rowe Circus is in town to-day. We did not go. Hyne took Charlie, Elsie, Ethel, + Agnes (Hart) Bancroft were here this p.m. We finished drawing in grain to-day. We put up the box stove in the dining-room this a.m. Mama went up to Mr. J. Walker's this p.m.

Sept. 4. - Sat. - John Dalton is threshing this a.m. It rained all day. We separated the milk to-night.

Sept 5. - Sun. - It is quite cold. We went to church this p.m. Laura + I went to St. George's this Eve.

Sept. 6. - Mon. - We washed. Labor Day. Henry went up to Brockville to see the shooting contest. Laura + I went to the woods this p.m. Labor Day.

Sept. 7. - Tues. - This is the 1st. Day of Brockville Fair. Mama went up to Grandma's this a.m. I ironed all day. Dr. T. Johnston stayed here all night + went to the Fair the next morning to show his colt. "Brockville Fair" Sept. 7. 8. 9.

Sept. 8. - Wed. - It is a lovely day Henry + I went to the Fair this p.m. Elsie + Hyne went also + left the children her. Dr. T. Johnston

Sept. 11. - Sat. - I got up this a.m. The St. Lawrence Association went to Prescott this a.m. + shot against that team. they We won by 7 points.

Sept. 12. - Sun. - Elsie + Hyne went to Mr. Manhard's funeral this p.m. + left the children here. Mama + Henry went to church this Eve. I have a bad cold.

Sept. 13. - Mon. - Mama washed. We set out our plants this p.m. We got a new pump put in

Sept 17. - Fri. - Mr. Knapp's threshed this p.m. Mama, Laura + I gathered wild grapes this p.m. Choir practise at the church this Eve.

Sept. 18. - Sat. - Papa + I went to town this p.m. I had two teeth filled to-day

Sept 20. - Mon. - Mr J. Corbett went to Ogdensburg to attend the Fair. We washed. I took a lesson this p.m.

Sept. 21. - Tues. - Mrs. R. Bishop, Mama + I went gathering wild grapes this p.m. I took Mrs. Orr some buttermilk this Eve.

Sept 22. - Wed. - Papa + Henry went up to Mr. Chas. Stagg's this morning to cut corn. I went down to Annie's on the milk-rig + stayed till 5. p.m. Edith Murray + Helen were here this a.m.

Sept 23. - Thur. - I ironed. They are cutting corn at Mr. Robt. Wood's to-day. There was a thunder

Sept. 25. - Sat. - Howard was not very well to-day + Mama went down there. Elsie + Children were here for dinner. The corn-cutters moved to Mr. J. Easton's this noon. Henry went to town to-night. Mary Warner went home with Elsie to stay until to-morrow. Mrs. Bristol came over to Laurras this p.m.

Sept. 26. - Sun. - Elsie, Hyne, 1 children came out this p.m. + to church this Eve. It rained to-night.

Sept. 27. - Mon. - We washed. It rained this a.m. They finished cutting corn at Mr. J. Easton's this p.m. ^ + moved to Mr. Lombard's. This is Mason's night. Mrs. Chas. Murray + Mrs. Jas. Simpson were here this Eve.

Sept. 28. - Tues. - I went up to Mrs. Bishop's this a.m. for some

Sept. 30. - Thur. It is raining, this a.m. We finished cutting this p.m. + they moved to Jno. Waltons.

October. 1909.

Oct. 1. - Fri. - We gathered our tomatoes to-day. The corn-cutters moved to Jno. Beattie's.

Oct. 2. - Sat. - I went to town with Elsie + Hyne this p.m. to get some teeth filled. There was a funeral at Bethel Church this p.m. Mr. James Saunders of Brockville. I received a letter from Miss Daniels to-night.

Oct. 3. - Sun. - Went to church to the Presbyterian church this Eve. They had their Anniversary Services to-day. Rev. Mr. Cameron Brockville preached morn + Eve.

Oct. 4. - Mon. - I went to Mrs. P. Barton's on the milk-rig + helped her get dinner + supper for the corn-cutters. We went to Oct. 5. Tues. the Lantern Lecture on "Canada, from Coast to Coast fiven by Rev. Mr. Cameron, this Eve with Mr. J. Easton's.

Oct. 5. - Tues. - They finished cutting at Mr. H. McKinley's to-night. We washed + made grape catsup this p.m. Bessie Ross was worse yesterday, but is much easier to-night.

Oct. 6. - Wed. - I went up to Grandma's this morning on a milk-rig. Will stay tiill to-morrow Eve. Was down to Mr. S. Cole's + telephoned to mama this p.m.

Oct. 7. - Thur. - We gathered milk-weeds this p.m. Henry came up to-night + I came home.

Oct. 8. - Fri. - It is beautful out these days + quite warm. "The sisters" were here to-day collecting for the hospital. Mrs. R. Bishop + I gathered milk-weeds this p.m. Henry was threshing at Will Read's to-day.

Oct. 9. - Sat. - I had my head washed this p.m. We were talking to Elsie this a.m. Henry went to town this Eve.

Oct. 10. - Sun. - Mama + I went down to St. George's to service this p.m. Rev. J. Anderson preached. I went down to Annie's for tea + we all came up to church at Bethel this Eve. It is very warm.

Oct. 11. - Mon. - We washed. I took a lesson this p.m. It is quite cloudy to-night.

Oct. 12. - Tues. - I went to town 8. a.m. with Jessie Bissell + Bruce Knapp as they went to school. Had my tooth filled this p.m. Was at Aunt Jane Newell's for dinner. It rained + the wind blew terrible when we came home 4. p.m. I went to see Oct. 13. Bessie Ross. She will have an operation to-morrow.

Oct. 13. - Wed. - Bessie had an operation 9. a.m. + is very low to-night. The Ladies Aid met at the

Oct. 14. - Thur. - The threshers were here this a.m. There was a shooting match between our team + Prescott this p.m. + I went up to the hall to help prepare supper. Bessie October 15 Ross is just about the same. Not out of danger yet.

Oct. 15. - Fri. - Mr. Lockwood is quite sick. Mama was up there this p.m. + stayed all night. Bessie Ross is very bad. Choir practise was here to-night.

Elsie, Hyne, + Charlie + Ethel came out this a.m. Also Annie, Willard, + Howard came up this p.m. Mr. + Mrs. Wesley Wood came over to church. but as there was none they spent the evening here.

Feb. 14. - Mon. - We washed Mr. R. Bishop sawed to-day. I took a lesson this p.m. Went over to Laura's this Eve.

Feb. 15. - Tues. - It is a nice day. We churned. Mr. Lockwood came down for butter-milk.

Feb. 17. - Thur. - We all went over to Lorne Shepherd's for dinner. Was talking out home.

Feb. 18. - Fri. - I went up to Uncle Fayette's this a.m. + Minnie came a piece with me 8. 30. p.m. Was talking to Annie at our place 10 p.m.

Feb. 19. - Sat. - Went over to Mr. Dawson's and talked to mama. Elsie + Hyne went over to Mrs. R. Earls's for tea + Miss Pinel + I kept house.

Feb. 20. - Sun. - Miss Pinel, Hyne, + I went to church this a.m.

Feb. 22. - Tues. - The sawers came here in mistake, this morning + were here for the breakfast. We were cooking to-day.

Feb. 23. - Wed. - We had the sawers here for dinner + supper to-day.

Feb. 24. - Thur. - Mama + Mrs. Bishop (Sr.) went up to Mr. J. Walker's + stayed for dinner + tea + I went up to-night. Papa went to Mr. H. Smith's sale at Maitland this p.m. + went down to Annie's to stay till he came back.

Feb. 25. - Fri. - I did the upsaits work this a.m. We churned + I took Mrs. Orr some buttermilk. Henry + I went to town this p.m.. I got 3 more names for the quilt.

Feb. 26. - Sat - Papa went to town for a load of coal this a.m. Henry helped Mr. S. Wright saw to-day. It is a windy night.

Feb. 27. - Sun. - It has been a rainy morning but stopped about 1.30 p.m. Mr. R. Bishop drove Mr. Pearson around to-day as he is preaching the missionary services. We all went to church this Eve. Olie came here after church to stay all night. Also Annie + Willard came in.

Feb. 28. - Mon. - This is mama's birth-day. We washed. It is a lovely warm day. Jean has the measels, so could not take a lesson. Olie went up to Mr. Lockwood's for dinner.

March 1. - Tues. - Mama went up to Mrs. S. Wrights this a.m. Henry + I went down to Dalton's this Eve + got our things that we sent for at Eaton's.

March. 2. - Wed. - This has been a beautiful Spring day. Henry helped Mr. D. Wells saw to-day. Papa brought out a load of furniture for Mr. A. Manhard's this a.m. Mrs. R. Bishop + Ruby came down this p.m. + Mr. Bishop rode drove down for them to-night.

March 3. - Thur. - Mrs. J. Walker, + Mrs. Hilyard Walker came down this a.m. + stayed all day. Finished stamping my

March 4. - Fri - Sarah McNish came here from Mr. Bishop's this a.m. + stayed till this p.m. I swept upstairs.

March 5. - Sat. - This is a beautiful Spring day. Henry took me over to Mrs. D. Well's for choir practise + he went on to town.

March 6. - Sun. - Our anniversary services are held to-day. Rev. B. W. Thompson M.A. Ottawa preached. Henry + I went this a.m. 10.30. George Manhard, Kit, Edith, Maggie + Carleton, Annie + Howard + Mary were here for dinner. We all went up to church 2.30 p.m. "Manhard's" Choir sang this p.m. Mary W. was here for tea. We went to service this Eve. Bethel choir, sang to-night. "Anniversary Services"

March 8. - Tues. - It is a nice bright day but much colder. Henry is sawing down to Warner's. We went to our Anniversary social at Mr. A. P. Bissell's this Eve. + had a fine time They made $18.00 Mary Warner came home with me + stayed all night.

May 9. - Wed. - Mary + I went over to Mabel Shaver's this p.m. + Henry came for us 8.30 p.m. Mr. R. Frew's sale was this p.m. Howard W. is 2 years old to-day.

March 10. - Thur. - It has been a nice day. Henry helped Mr. W. Ross saw to-day.

March 11. - Fri. - We churned + I took Mrs. Wm. Kyle some buttermilk 10.30 then went up to Mr. R. Bishop's for dinner. Will + Minnie, Hyne + Elsie + children were these for dinner. Mrs. R. Bishop came a piece with me to-night, we went into Mr. Bissell's also to Mr. H. Lockwood's.

March 12. - Sat. - Papa went to town this p a.m. + mama went up to Grandma's with him to stay till to-morrow. I have been busy all day. Papa went to Algonquin to get [Gupsie] shod this p.m. + he thinks she has the distemper. so I could not go to choir -

March 17. - Thur. - I came home with Mrs. Jno. Warner this a.m. as he was going to town. These are lovely days. I went up to Mr. Jno. Walker's this p.m. to get a drink of sap. Mrs. Beattie + Johnie were here this Eve. I went over to the hall this Eve to a meeting to try to organize a Library Society there was not many there. I have a bad cold

March. - I went to choir practise at Mr. Wm. Easton's this Eve. It is a cold night.

March. 18. - Fri. - It is a lovely day. Mrs. Mama + Laura went to town 10.30 a.m. Mrs. Hilyard Walker came down this p.m. Mrs. Jno. Beattie (Jr.) + Johnie came up this Eve, I went over to the hall to a meeting which they organized a Literary Society, There was not many out. I have a bad cold.

March 19. - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. I have a terrible cold + went to bed. 7. p.m. Pa went up to Mr. Lockwood's this Eve.

March 20. - Sun. - My cold is not much better. Annie, Willard, Mary, + Little howard came up this p.m. + Howard stayed here with us while the rest went to church. Hyne came out this p.m. Annie + Willard stayed for tea.

March 21. - Mon. - This is a lovely day. My cold is some better but did not take a lesson. Receiv. an Easter Card from Mary W.

March 22. - Tues. - Received a card from L. Daniels also one from Annie (Easter)

March 23. - Wed. - My cold is a great deal better to-day. Johnie Beattie was here for dinner as they men were dipping his horse. It is a fine night.

March 24. - Thur. - This has been a nice Spring Day. Henry went up to Grandma's this Eve.

March 25. - Fri. - "Good Friday.." Laura was over this p.m. Choir practise here to-night.

March 26. - Sat. - Papa went to Brockville this a.m. Mama went upto Mr. J. Walker's this p.m.

April 4. - Mon. - Mama washed some curtain's + I took Mr. Lockwood some buttermilk. Took a lesson this p.m. I taked this p.m.

April 5. - Tues. - I raked this a.m. Went down to Mrs. Beattie's this Eve. Recceived a letter from Luella D. to-night. Very warm.

April 6. - Wed. - Mrs. R. Bishop Mama + I swept the church this a.m. + Mrs. Bishop + I dusted + washed the lamps this p.m. I went up to Mrs. Walker's this Eve. Mrs. Watson came there Mon. Eve. to help them as Mrs. Walker is quite bad.

April 7. - Thur. - It is rainy + much colder. I went up to Mr. Walker's after tea. Mrs. Walker is some better to-night. Henry took me up to Mrs. W Well's to choir practise this Eve. It is very cold.

April. 8. - Fri. - Took Mrs. Walker some buttermilk this a.m. She is about the same. Elsie + yne went to town 12.30 + left the children here. They were here for tea. It is warmer to-night.

Laura was over just before dark.

April 9 - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. Henry was up to the Range, Shooting this p.m. It has been a dark day. Took a bath this Eve.

April 10. - Sun. - Annie + Howard came up this a.m. as Willard went to Mr. Jno. Chapman's funeral. N. Augusta, 2. p.m. We went to S.S. this p.m. but there was none. I went up to Electa's after S.S. It is quite cold to-day. We came down to church this Eve.

April 11. - Mon. - Mama + papa went to town this p.m. + Mama had her teeth extracted. They gums are sore to-night. Took a lesson this p.m.

April 12. - Tues. - Mrs. R. Bishop + I

put a quilt on at the hall this a.m. I went up to Mr. Jno. Walker's this p.m.

April 13. - Wed. - The Ladie's Aid had a quilting at the Hall to-day. I went up for dinner + supper. April 14 Laura + I went up to Mrs. S. Wright's this Eve.

April 14. - Thur. - We churned I took Mrs. Kyle + Mrs Walker some butter-milk this p.m. Papa + Henry clipped Mr. S. Cole's horse this p.m.

April 15. - Fri. - I taked some this p.m. + Eve. Halley's Comet has been seen Wed. + Thur. mornings at 4 a.m. but we did not see it.

April 16. - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. Henry went to the Shoorting Range this p.m.

April 17. - Sun. - Henry, Mary W. + I went to Algonquin this a.m. to the Anniversary Services there + were at Elsie's for dinner + tea. It rained this p.m. + Eve.

April 18. - Mon. - It is a rainy day.

April 19. - Tues. - It is a very nice day. Annie, Mary + Willard were at Mr. Lockwood's for tea.

April 20. - Wed. - We washed, + churned. hyne + Charlie came out to-night to get the horse clipped.

April 21.- Thur. - Annie + Howard + Willard were here for dinner. I ironed this a.m. Annie + I ^did passe-partout 4 pictures this p.m. Henry took Mary W. + I over to Wesley Woods' for choir-practise this Eve.

April 21 - Fri - Mama has been tearing off all the paper in her bed-room to-day. + I took up my carpet + did the up-stairs work. Mr. R. Bishop + Mr. A. P. Bissell were here this Eve.

April 23. - Sat. - Mrs. A. P. Bissell was talking to Edgar Kingston + he has passed his exams. I went up to Mrs. Bishop's for some eggs after tea + we set a hen. It is rainy.

April 24. - Sun. - It rained this p.m. Elsie, Hyne + children were up to Mr. Orrs for tea. Etta Dalton came down to Johns this a.m. + was up to Bethel church to-night. Mama, Henry + I went to church to-night.

April 25. - Mon. - It rained some so we did ^not wash. Mama painte This is Mason's night.

April 26. - Tues. - We washed + Mama painted my bed-room floor.

April 27. - Wed. - Mrs. A. P. Bissell + Mr James Bissell went to Kingston this a.m. as Edgar received his degree.

April 28. - Thur. - Henry went up to Grandma's this Eve, + I went to Lombard's for choir practise with him.

April 29. - Fri. - Papa went to Algonquin this p.m. to get Gypsee shod. Mr. Jno. Beattie Jr. went out to the concert in the Baptist Church Algonquin to-night with Henry + I. There was a good crowd.

April 30. - Sat. - Papa 1 I went to town this morning. I stayed at the McNish Girls for dinner. Elsie, Hyne + Charlie came in this p.m. + Elsie + I picked out my new hat. I came home with Mr. + Mrs. Jno. Warner 5.p.m. Papa got a new lawn-mower to-day, + we tried it to-night.
