May 1. - Mon. - Rained. I cleaned the wood-shed. We bought a new cow from Jno. Dalton to-day. Went to Mrs. Dalton's this Eve on an errand. Theo R. & Gordon W. were here this Eve. Rec. a telegram from Geo. Philips (theo's Uncle Hugh) that Uncle George Cook died Fri. night & was buried 1 p.m. to-day.

May 2. - Tues. - Cloudy & cold. Cleaned all the closets to-day. Theo was here this Eve.

May 3. - Wed. - Washed. Mr. Jno. Walker was here this Eve. Mrs. Walter Smith died 1.30 p.m.

May 4. - Thur. - This is a lovely day. Papa went to market with potatoes
