May 23. Thur. - papa brought Uncle Hugh out to went on the factory this noon. I picked {illegible} greens this p.m. Choir practise at the church this Eve. Mr Elisha Black. Maitland died 11 p.m. (night).

May. - 24. - Fri. - "Green Victoria's Birthday" put down the hall carpet {illegible}. Thunder shower 4 this morn. Laura brought Mr. {illegible} while, Mrs. Chas, {illegible} & Hagel for out to her place yesterday & they spent all day at Bissell's cemetery (to-day).
