Oct. 1. -- Sun. -- Church service 2:30 p.m. Rainy.

Oct. 2. -- Mon. -- Washed & cleaned the shed.

Oct. 3. -- Tues. -- Mrs. R. Bishop Mrs. U. Bishop (Jr) Mrs. Jno. Dalton. Annie & Howard were here for dinner. Has been a lovely day.

Oct. 4. -- Wed. -- Ironed all day to get ready to go to Prescott. Very windy & the men couldn't work.

Oct. 5. -- Thur. -- Went to town with Sarah I[?]. & took the 2.45 train for P. Luella met me. Miss E. Baker was in this Eve.

Oct. 6. -- Fri. -- Rainy. We read & worked & played games this Eve. Sent mama a card.

Oct. 7. - Sat. - Dandy mom. We went for a walk. Went to the library & Geraldines this Eve. Full moon.


Oct. 8. - Sun. - Church service. S.P.(?) & service at 7 p.m. We attended all three. Wrote 4 cards.


Oct 9. - Mon. - Mrs. Smith was here for dinner. We made a number of calls this p.m. Down street to-night.


Oct. 10. - Tues. - Went for some horse-radish at Jack Smiths this morning. L.D. & I walked to the Blue Church this p.m. Called at Mr. Geo.(?) Lanes to-night, as Mr. & Mrs. ? Lockwood are down.


Oct. 11. - Wed.- Tacked a quilt this a.m. L.D. Geraldine & I kept house at Mrs. Rolt (?) Dowsleys This Eve.

Oct. 12. - Thur.- Went to the Burg? this p.m. Grand fall Days. J.w.a. meeting this Eve.

Oct. 13. - Fri.- Went to meet the ferry today (4 times) Have been busy cooling Miss Daniels. S.S. class was here this Eve. Had a good time.

Oct. 14. -Sat.- Grand Day. Came to Brockville on the 1.40 p.m. train. Went down street. Henry came in & I came home this Eve.

Oct. 15. -Sun.- annie Willard & Howard were here for dinner. S.S. & service at 2.30 p.m. Beautiful warm weather.

Oct. 16. -Mon.- Washed potato. Digging is the business now. Papa rec'd a letter from aunt Sarah tonight.

Oct. 17. -Tues.- Mama spent the day at Grandma Manhard's, annie & Howard Mrs. Bishop & I were up to the church this p.m. & swept it & dusted. Papa & Henry went to the sale of Holstein cattle at Gordon Manhards this p.m. Very windy this p.m. also rained tonight. Ms Geordie Landons husking (?) bee (?) tonight. Henry went to it.

Oct. 18 - Wed.- Rainy this a.m. Mama went to the ladies aid at Mrs. A.P. Bissells this p.m. Henry & I drove to Wesley Woods for choir practise this Eve.

Oct. 19. - Thur.- Dandy weather. ?roned. Mr. C.J. Johns was here this a.m collecting for the telephones. Henry started ploughing today. Rec. a letter from Elva, this eve. Henry & I went to Fred Landons to a husking bee tonight.

Oct. 20. -Fri.- Mama, Mr. & Mrs. L. Lockwood are visiting at annies today. Practised this p.m.

Oct. 21. -Sat.- Took a lesson this morn. Mr. Fl. Lockwood also Ruby Bishop were here this p.m. I walked down to the factory for butter 5.p.m. Henry went to B. this eve. Theo was over here tonight.

Oct.22.-Sun.-Mrs. Wright. {illegible} was here for dinner. as Mr & Mrs D. Wright went to service at {Matland?} this morn. {illegible} Mr. Campbell {pass?} by train student {illegible} on Bethel church this eve. We all went.

Oct. 23. - Mon. - Washed & picked up potatoes this p.m.

Oct. 24. - Tues. - Annie, Mrs. {Dalton?} & {illegible} kyle went to the Burg this a.m. Howard stayed here. We all went over to the suprise Party at Mr. Jns. {Carbett's?} this Eve. (papa, mama, Laura, Annie. Howard & I rode over) Had a dandy time. Viola Patterson died today. she diptheria.

Oct. 25. - Wed. - Ironed. laura was over this p.m. Rec d a photo postal of {illegible} 1 to-night. "Grand Weather." Viola Patterson was buried 10. a.m.

Oct. 26. - thurs. - papa brought "Maud" home this a.m. Mama, Mrs. {Dalton?}, Mrs. {illegible} & I all went to {Carbett's?} sale this p.m. {illegible} cold.

Oct. 27.- Fri. - finished ironing {Did?} the upstairs work. Mama helped Mrs. Walt on pick ducks this p.m.

Oct. 28. - Sat. - papa went to market & brought Aunt Jane out this p.m. We are {illegible} {illegible}. Henry went duck hunting with the boys this p.m.

papa went for uncle {Kyle?} to-night. Dandy night.

Oct. 29. - Sun. - We went to service at 2:30 p.m. then Auntie, Uncle & mama walked down to Annie's after service. Very windy "Thanksgiving Service."

Oct. 30 - Mon. - "Thanksgiving Day." All of the family were here for dinner except {Kyne?}. {Has?} been a nice day. papa tooke Auntie & Uncle in town to-night & I went up to Bishop's & helped Mrs. B. work on her dress for Halloween

Oct. 32. Tues. - Rainy, Henry, Laura & I walked up to the party to-night. Had a good time Howard stayed here.

November. /11.

Nov. 1. - Wed. - I have been helping Mrs. {Bissell?} to-day, Jessie & I went to the party at Landon's this eve.

Nov. 2. - Thurs. - Drew on the ground this morn. Cold.

Nov. 3.- Fri. - Clear & Cold. Cleaned Henry's room to-day. Grand night. Wrote to {illegible}.

Nov. 4. - Sat. - took a lesson this a.m. papa went to market. Annie, Willard & Howard went to waiy {Luella?} P. to-day. Henry went to town to-night. I wrote to {Electa?} this eve.

Nov. 8. Wed. - Just {illegible} this p.m. Eva. N. was buried. It was a cold, & dull day. papa went to Maitland this p.m. Have been pretty busy. Reed a card from {illegible} to-night.

Nov. 12. - Sun. - Rainy & very windy, the wind blew down a tree in our front yard. I went to service at 2.38 p.m. Just 6 people present. Snowed from 3.30 to 6 o'clock.

Nov. 13. - Mon. - Washed, killed a pig (for us) this p.m.

Nov. 14. - Tues. - Aunt Annie was here this a.m. Mama & Mrs. J. Walker were visiting at Mrs. H. Lockwoods to-day. Practised & ironed some, went over to Laura's this Eve, Shooting Contest.

Noc. 13. - Wed. - Annie & Howard were here to-day also aunt {illegible} this p.m.

Practised & wrote to Eva & Elia this Eve.

Nov. 16. - Thurs. - Cleaned the lawn-mower. Henry went to B. this p.m. Papa went to the sle at Mr. Henry Ms. Kinley's I went down to Annie's 5.30 p.m. & {illegible}, Gladys & Mabel called for me to go to choir practise. Very cold.

Nov. 17. - Fri. - Cold, shooting Contest at Algonquin Range, the D.A. Boys against Algonquin D.A. won, hurrah! Stormy to-night. Made mince-meat to-day.

Nov. 18. - Sat - took a lesson this morn. Mrs {illegible} Bissell & Etta were here this p.m. & for tea. Theo was here this Eve.

Nov. 19. - Sun. - Annie Willard & Howard were here to-day. Annie, Howard & I went

to-day Annie, Howard & I went to Laura's this p.m. Hattie walker was here this p.m. Went to service 7.30 p.m. Mama & Howard stayed at home.

Nov. 20. - Mon. - {illegible} Wilfrid's Birthday-day. Washed. papa went to town this a.m. & he & henry {shingled?} on the church sheds this p.m. Warm.

Nov. 31. - Tues. - Mama & Henry went to town this a.m. Henry helped shingle {illegible} the church sheds this p.m. henry went to a party at warner's this Eve. in honor of Shepherd's. Nice weather.

Nov. 22. - Wed. - Ironed. papa went to Algonquin to get the {illegible} shod & I went also. Arrived home 940 p.m.

Nov. 23. - Thurs. - Ironed. papa & Henry took {illegible} cows to town this p.m.solf to Mr. H. Bissell. Quite warm. Mr. Y. Landon took Gladys & I to {illegible} for choir practise this Eve.

Nov. 24. - Fri. - Just {illegible} month from to-night, Santa will be around practised to-day. papa had cider made this p.m. & after the committee meeting at the church Bissell's, Bishop's & Landon's came in for cider. Colder to-night. {illegible} a letter from {illegible} also papa ued one from Uncle Samuel.

Nov. 25 - Sat. - took a lesson this a.m. papa went to market. Mr. Jns. Wright underwent and operation for appentieitis there. Eve. & is very low to-night.

Nov. 26. - Sun. - Stormed this a.m. Mama, Henry & I went to service 2.30 p.m. Read - A star in prison by Anna May Wilson.

Nov. 27. - Mon. - Warm. the men finished shingling the church shed roof this p.m. Cleaned the spare room & mama made me a new waist. Theo was here Eve.

Nov. 28. - Tues. - Mrs. Jesse Easton & Mrs. H. Cole were here for dinner & satyed til 3.30 p.m. Rainy this .m. I practised this Eve.

Nov. 29. - Wed. - Cleaned the kitchen stove-pipes. I finished cleaning the spare-bed room papa went to B. this p.m. Henry helped Mr. Y. Landon at his "raising bee" this p.m. Laura was over this p.m.

Nov. 30. - Thurs. - papa went to B. this a.m. Henry is helpinh Mr. {illegible} Murray cut wood on the {illegible} place, fine day. Milk was here this a.m.

December. /11.

Dec. 1. - Fri. - Choir practise at Warner's this eve. Beattise had a few invited in this Eve, in honor of Mr. & Mrs. A. {illegible}

Dec. 2. - Sat. - took a lesson. Snowy. Annie & Willard went to town 12. noon 7 Howard stayed here.{illegible} & I cleaned the lamps at the curch this p.m. Henry went to town this Eve. Read a card from N.C.

Dec. 3. - Sun. - fine day. Henry went to grandma's this morn. "Anniversay Services." 2.30 & 7.30 {illegible} Mr. {illegible} Philp, couldn't come. Annie & Willard were here for tea. We all went to Evening service, except

Mama & Howard. Splendid sermons.

Dec. 4. - Mon. - Washed. I walked down to the store 4.30 p.m. Cold & very frosty. Mason's night.

Dec. 5. - Tues. - Edna & Gladys {illegible} Jessie B. & I washed the dished & set tanle this morn for the Eve. at the hall. "Social this Eve." {illegible}. {Lawernce Fisher?} Malloy town {spoke?}.

Dec. 6 . - Wed. - Cleaned every-thing at the hall this a.m. Annie. & Willard & Henry went to town at noon. papa & mama & I also 9Elsie went this a.m.) & we had a family

& we had a family group taken at {illegible} also I got a new coat. Beautiful warm day & {rathes?} smoky. Henry went to a party this Eve at Rolt Wood's. Mr. & Mrs. A. Manhard came here this Eve. to {illegible} till to-morrow eve.

Dec. 7. - Thur. - Our "{proop?}" came this Eve. I went to choir practise this Eve. at Warner's. Mr. 7 Mrs. Manhard went to Dalton.

Dec. 8. - Fri. - " Grand weather" Ironed. papa helped Mr. R. Bishop. {illegible} stone this p.m. 7 Henry went hunting. Mrs. R. Bishop & Ruby were here this p.m. a while. Sent the {proop?} to Elsie this Eve.

Dec. 9. - Sat. - Busy all day. {illegible} M. came here 4.30 p.m. to remain over {illegible} Mrs. Bishop came down to-gnight as the Annual {illegible} Association was held this Eve.

Dec. 10. - Sun. - Delightful Weather Henry, florence & I drove to Algonquin this p.m. then went to service at 7.30. {illegible}, Mr. {Calvert?}. N. {illegible} preached, & Bethel choir took part.

Dec. 11. - Mon. - Dark, & gloomy. Florence & I went to Mrs. Jockwood's this p.m. to visit. Annie & Howard were here for dinner.

Election day. Rainy this Eve. Reed a letter from {Elise?}

Dec. 12 - Tues. - Florence & I went to Ms. Walker's 9 a.m on an errand. {Hilyard?} & {wife?} just arrived yesterday. I went to Ms. Bissell's to-day. then to Y. Landons on the hill this Eve. I cleaned mama's & my rooms to-day. Reed a birthday card from {illegible}.

Dec. 13. - Bright {illegible} snow. fell last night, but soft weather still continues.

Dec. 14. - Thur. - Shooting continues & oyster supper this Eve. Had a good time

Dec. 15. - Fri. - Damp & foggy. We washed the dishes at the hall this Eve, & {illegible} more oysters also organized

Dec. 16. Sat. - papa & mama went to B. 7:40 a.m. took a lesson. Cleaned the dining - room. Laura was here 4. p.m. {illegible} p.m. & {illegible}

Dec. 17 - Sun. - finished {illegible} at home mama went up to Ms. Walker's this p.m. We all went to service 7. this {illegible}

Dec. 19. - Tues. - Henry & I went to {Broelwdle?} 1. p.m. & remained at Uncle {illegible} for tea. Had a good time. Got our pictures (photos) Mama washed the {Meson's?} appons this am.

Dec. 20. - Wed. - Ironed. Mama made Mrs. {illegible} Christmas Cake this p.m, Laura was here this p.m. I went up & Mr. Walker's on an errand 4. p.m. {hilyard?} & his wife were here this Eve. {illegible} some photos to senf by mail.

Dec. 21. - Thur. - Shortest day in the year "finished ironing & we cleaned the {pantrey?}. choir practise at Mary's this Eve.

Dec. 22. - Fri. - Started our coal-heater to-day. I went to Mrs. Jns Beattice's {illegible} this 1 .p.m. Mrs. {illegible} Wright's nephew. Calhown Baka was chairman. We had a good time & I need {illegible} on the {illegible}

Dec. 23. - Sat. - papa's birthday his 58 today. he went to B. this am. Annie &Willard went {illegble} Howard stayed here. We have been busy, busy, all day & decorated our tree this {illegible}. Laura was here, & Henry went to B. this {Eve?}.

Dec. 24. - Sun. - Christmas {Service} 2:30 p.m. also {illegible} for {illegible}, we all went Read a book, "A Devotee & A {Parking?}." this {Eve?} Went to bed early. {illegible} to "give" Santa a {illegible} to {illegible} our tree. {pay?} us a unit, this Night Before Christmas

Dec. 25. - Mon. - Christmas Day. Elsies were here by 10.30 a.m. & Annie & Willard came soon after dinner at Warner's. We {need?} a number of presents, Willard went to the {illegible}, & Annie & Howard remained here all night.

Dec. 26. - Tues. - {illegible} {illegible} {illegible} everything around. Went over to see Laura this {Eve?}

Dec. 27, - Wed. - Mama washed a few things this a.m. papa went to {illegible} - meeting This a.m. papa & I straightened up at the {illegible} this p.m. This is {illegible}. John's night Mrs. Jns. {Beattie?}, {illegible} Mrs. Jns {Beattie?}, Jns were here this {Eve?} & we did {some?} burnt - work.

Dec. 29. - Fri.. - papa is quite sick & went to see {Dr. Harding?} this p.m. Willard & John Patterson came up for Howard this p.m. papa is some better to-night.

Dec. 30 - Sat. - papa went to town & mama went to grandma's. Papa went Algonquin this p.m. I have been busy to-day. Mr. & Mrs. {N. Jockwood?} came down - this {Eve?}. Has been a dandy day.

Dec. 31. - Sun.- Henry went to mama this p.m. Ms. {Afl Chapman?} who was burned to death this morn. was buried. 1.pm. Henry & I went to {illegible} this eve.

January. /12.

Jan. 1. - Mon. - Annie & Howard were here all day & stayed all night. This is {illegible} night & we "sugared off."

Jan. 2. - Tues. - Annie & Howard went home this morn. We washed. Wrote & {illegible} this eve.

Jan. 3 - Wed. - Beautiful day, Mary W. & {illegible} {Quartuo?} were married 12 o'clock noon. I was there played the "wedding march" We had a lovely, jolly time. I came up with Willard at 6 o'clocj when he went to the {illegible}.

Jan. 4.- thurs. - I was at Mrs. Jns Daltons this eve.

Jan. 5.- Fri.- very cold

Jan. 6.- Sat. - took a lesson. Mama went up to grandma's & papa went to town this a.m I have been busy this p.m. Ms. H. {Jockwood?} was here this p.m. Jns. Beattice was here this eve. Cold as greenland.

Jan. 7. Sun. - papa & I went to service at {Bettel} 2:30 p.m. & Henry went up to Grandma M's for mama. laura & I walked to Ot. {Yeorges?} to service 7 p.m. Mr. & Mrs R. {Besnop?} were here this eve. Cold Mr. U Beamam's (near Alogonquin) bam & contents (cows pigs & hen were barned 8. a.m. this morn.

Jan. 8. - Mon. - practised & Laura was here this p.m.also Mr. Jns. Walter. not as cold to-night. Stormy. {illegible}

Jan. 9. - Tues. - {Blustrey?} & stormy. Henry worked in the woods, {yesterday?}, this p.m. {Father?} shovelled paths. Laura was here this p.m. Henry went to Mrs. Beattice's this Eve. We burnt cushion tops.

Jan. 10. - Wed. - Churned. Mama was visiting at Ms. {Seaman?} Wright's to-day. Beautiful day.I went over to Laura's this Eve. We {reed Simpson Sale?} Catalogise to-night.

Jan. 11. - Thur. - Dandy weather but very cold. Mama, papa & Mrs. R. Bishop drove to Algonquin this

4 p.m.to get the horses {illegible} (after tea) Mr. {Elsha?} {illegible} died 11. p.m. I went to the {illegible} to-night with Annie & Willard to a concert.

Jan. 12. - Fri. - Cold Henry & Willard are chopping for Mr. Bishop's Laura was here this p.m. Mama washed my hair this p.m.

Jan. 13. - Sat. - took a lesson this a.m. papa & Henry went to town this a.m. for coal. Laura was here this p.m. I reed postal from Miss {Rath?} . Ms. {illegible} was here this Eve.

Jan. - 14. - Sun. - A little warmer. papa & Henry went to Mr. E. {illegible} funeral 1.30 p.m. at Algonquin Church. Bethel Service this Eve. All went.

Jan. - 15 - Mon - Aunt jane N. is 56 years old to-day. Washed. Willard & Johnie. B. were here for dinner. read a card from Mary. W. {illegible}.

Jan. 16. - Tues. - Practised. Laura was here this p.m. Henry 7 Willard are chopping this p.m. for Capt? Bishop. Read a letter from Uncle D.B.

Jan. 17. - Wed. - Churned. papa & Henry are helping Kyne draw wood to-day. I went down with them after dinner. to the post office. Made candy.

Jan. 18. - Thurs. - Ironed. Rainy {illegible} a {time?} " grey Day". Laura was here this p.m. Practised.

Jan. 19. - Fri. - Annie & Howard came up this a.m. & Willard went to B.

for his {illegible}. papa & I drove to B. this p.m. & got my lamb collar put on my coat. {Present?} & the party at Wiel C. Read's this Eve with Edna & Gladys. & Ms. {illegible} , had a good time.

Jan. 20. - Sat. - took lesson this a.m., have been busy all day. papa went to market this a.m. & Henry went {illegible} this p.m. Retired early.

Jan. 21. - Sun. - Nice sunny day. Device 2.30 p.m. Mrs. (RW) {illegible} was out also. Read this Eve.

Jan. 22. - Mon. - papa & Henry moved some hay to the house stable to-day. Reedthe dree for Ethel from {illegible}.

also a postal from {illegible}. Laura D. was here this Eve.

Jan. 23. - Tues. - Stormy. ironed.

Jan. 24. - Wed. - Lovely day. Ms. Ed. {illegible} (real estate agent) & Ms. {illegible}, were here this p.m. Mama was {illegible} at bishop's to-day. & I went up this Eve.

Jan. 25. - Thur. - Dandy day. Cold.Henry is sawing at {illegible}. We churned & mama washed some. Henry went to warner to a party.

Jan. 26. - Fri. - Busy all day. Edna, Gladys. L, & {illegible} was here this Eve & practise no one else came. papa went to Will. C. Read's this Eve. Cold.

Jan. 27. - Sat. - very cold. Mr. J. Walker were to B. with papa 10.am. They attended Mr. Samuel {illegible} funeral at 2.30 p.m. We had been busy all day Mr. {illegible} was here a while after tea. bathed to-night.

Jan. 28. - Sun. - fine day. Henry, papa & I went to service tis Eve.

Jan. 29. - Mon. - Washed. Stormy day. Laura was here this p.m.

Jan. 30. - Tues. - Warmed. Mama has a bad cold & a lame back. papa went to {illegible} this p.m. also saw Mr. E. Black. laura was here 4.30 p.m.

the choir (all) went to Warner's this Eve as Mrs. Warner invited them for Mary. We presented her with an oak centre table. Had a good time.

February. /12.

Feb. 1. - Thur. - Mama has a cold. Henry went to {illegible} show to-night with Willard & Annie. papa helped Mr. Fred Warner put up a separate. Mama took a terrible pain in the stomach to-night, but after applying hot clothes fet relieved.

Feb. 2. - Fri. - Mama isn't very well papa & Henry drew a load of ice for the factory this a.m. & Annie & Howard rode up with them at noon. Ironed this p.m. Henry, Annie & I went to a parler social at Mr. J {illegible} Easton's this Eve.with Wille {illegible} of 23 people.

Had a good time. howard remained here all night.

Feb. 3. - Sat. - Busy to-day. Dandy weather. papa & Henry wnet to town this p.m. Mama wasn't very well this p.m. but feels better this Eve. "Oysters" for supper. Henry, Willard went to B. this Eve. Read a letter from {Elva?} to-night.

Feb. 4. - Sun. - Mama is {illegible} better & papa went for the Dr. Mrs Jns. Dalton & Annie stayed here this p.m. with me. Henry went to service 2.30 p.m. & after {illegible} powders for her said she must diet & be kept quiet. Mr. Jns. Walker was here this Eve.

Feb. 5. - Mon. - 'Beautiful day.' Henry & Theo went to the funeral of Mrs. Nichols at St. {Yonges?} church. 11. a.m oaoa went to B. this p.m. to get more medicine for mama. This is Mason's night. Laura was here this p.m. also Mrs. {illegible} & Flora (Dalton) {illegible}

Feb. 6. - Tues. - Mmama was sitting up this p.m. for a while. Henry & Willard drove to {illegible} 6.p.m. to {illegible} the Mason's meeting thur, as the Distict Deputy (Mr. Ed. Mekimm) pays his annual visit to-night. Mr.& mrs. {illegible} Kyle were here all the Eve.

Feb. 7. - Wed. - Stormy. mama is improving & has been sitting up nearly all day.

Feb. 19. - Mon. - Cloudy & warm. I made a want to-day. Mama went for a ride down to Annie's.

Feb. 24. - Sat. - Mild. Annie & Willard went to town 12.noon. & left Howard here. Annie had 8 roots of teeth extracted. Annie & Howard stayed here till 7.p.m. & Papa drove (helped) them home. Henry was sawing at Mr. Jno. Easton's to-day. We have been busy. Bathed this Eve. Laura wshed 3 p.m.

Feb. 25. - Sun. - Quietness reigned. Papa, Henry, & I went to service, 7, Eve. Quite warm & bright to-night.

Feb. 26. - Mon. - Blustry & stormy this p.m. Wild all the Eve. We melted now to wash. I took a lesson 10.a.m. & Jean remained here for dinner. Laura was over this p.m. & I was cutting patterns. Papa drove to B this p.m. & got coal. Henry has been helping saw at Davy Hudson's.

Feb. 27. - Tues. - Stormy all day. Jno. Beattie was here this Eve. Mr. Osborne Ohave's barn was burned this Eve. (8.45. started). All of the men went over, but couldn't save any cattle just the horses. 20 cows. burned.

Feb. 28. - Wed. - Washed. Mama is 58 to-day. Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Kyle, Papa, Mama, & I drove over to Mr. Harris McDougall's 3.30 p.m. & Mr. & Mrs. no. Dalton drove over 5 p.m. Mr. Kyle's & ourselves went in a sleigh & had lots of fun. Had a dandy time. Arrived home 1.30.a.m. Beautiful Night.

March 18. - Mon. - Washed. four (4) loads of Hyne's furniture etc. were moved this p.m. to the "McKinley Farm." Mrs. Chas Johns, Mrs. Wm. Dawson, Mrs. WardEarl & Eleanor were in this Eve. About 8.15 p.m. I went over to Mr. Krough's. Thesis "Easton Lily" is a beauty.

March 19. - Tues. - Finished packing & 2 more loads completed the removal. We Mr. Tim. Perrin brough Elsie, baby, Ethel & I 2.30 p.m. After putting up the Kitchen stove & beds & finding articles sufficient for our comfort we retired. Willie S. helped Hyne & Mr. PErrin.

March 20. - Wed. - Cleaned pantry & straghtened most all of the kitchen. Put the parlor carpet down this Eve & I washed all the dishes, belonging in the side-board.

March 21. - Thur. - Stormy. Moped part of the upstairs, steps & parlor.

June 20. - thur - Howard came up last night & is staying while his mama & Mrs. {illegible} . go to the Burg to-day.

June 21. - Fri. - Annie came up for dinner & took Howard home. Moved into the takehen after painting. Eva & I went to Jean's this eve. & practised.

June 22. - Sat. - took a lesson. scrubbed up things at the hall Mrs. Jns. dalton & I went over to Read's cemetery for Roses & were at Kyle's.

June 23. - Sun. - papa went to B. last night & I get a new pair of shoes. Service 2.30 p.m. Not many present. Warmer. Elsie's came up for service, but went home right after. Annie, Willard & Howard were here for {illegible} & went to St. George's this Eve. I went early to bed.

June 24 - Mon. - Elsie's ten year Wedding Anniversary. Eva & I have been at Jean's to-day, & practised a good deal. "fine weather". papa drove to Alogonquin to-night as Uncle {illegible} is very sick.

Henry helped R. Bishop kill a pig after supper. Dr. Edgar Bissel arrived home this morn. I retired early to-night.

(June 25.) - Tues. - The Eventful day dawned clear & warm. We rose 4 a.m. & papa drove Jean & I to Maitland 5. 30 a.m. & we went to {illegible} on the 6. 20 train. (also Eva C. got on at B.) Had a nice ride + arrived at Mary {illegible} about 6.45 a.m. I went up to Daniel's 8.15 a.m. & {illegible} & I came back to Mary's 9.15 a.m. went to the Consent 10 a.m. finished our written papus & Eva played this a.m. I played 2 p.m. & we had a nice walk. Came to M. {9.20?} p.m. & papa met us there.

June 26. - Wed. - Bethel Social Cooked this a.m. + helped at the hall this p.m. Rev. + Mrs. Keough + Dorothy drove here 7.30. p.m. + went to Social. Had a fine time. Six pieces of 41st Regimental Band gave music. Arrived home 1 o'clock.

June 27. - Thur. - Grandma Manhard took a poor spell + Mama went up this Morn. We cleaned everything at the hall. Mama came home to-night. Finished planting potaotes.

June 28. - Fri. - Did upstairs work + Mrs. Bishop. Mama + I cleaned lamps at church this p.m. Was at Mrs. Floria's this Eve.

June 29. - Sat. Scrubbed.

Electa B. arrived in B. 5 a.m. & was at home 8.30 a.m.Viola Walker & I went to the woods this p.m. for ferns & earth. papa took potatoes to B. this a.m. Henry went to B. this Eve. Cool Eve.

June 30 - Sun. Mama, Mrs. Jns Walker, Viola & I went to Read's Cemetery this p.m. Warm but cool this Eve. Service 7.30 Eve. Thur was a blind man here 7. Eve.

July 1. - 'Dominion Day' Mama was not well last night but is better to-day. I picked 4 {illegible} wild strawberries to-day. Mason's Meeting to-night. Beautiful night.

July 2. - Tues. - Grandma Throop is 90 yrs. old. to-day. Henry went in & saw the procession. We washed.

July 3. - Wed. - picked 51 boxes of berries at Warner's to-day. Florena, Leoia, & Wilhelmene Kyle, {illegible} & Gladys Landon, & I picked.

July 8. - Mon. - Mrs. Jns. Beattie & I walked down to pick berries this morn I picked 160 boxes. mr. Warner drove Mrs. B. & I home. Very Warm.

July 9. - Tues. - Washed. I went to picnic at Perry's Point this p.m. with Landson's (Fred's) 14 in our load. Had a good time.

July 10. Wed. - picked 95 boxes. Warm.

July 20. - Sat. - papa took a load of cheese to B. Busy all day.

July 22. Mon. - Went rasp-berrying. Got about 8 quarts. Ochestra practise here this Eve. Mama is not very well.

July 27. - Sat. - Busy. Ruby was here this p.m. papa went to B. 3.30 p.m. Was at Mrs. Beattie's this Eve. Beautiful Eve.

July 28. - Sun. - Elsie Hyne & family were here this p.m. Henry & I went to service 7.30 Eve.

July 29. Mon. - Washed. mowed the lawn. Orchestra practise here this Eve. "Mason's Night."

July 30. tues. - Annie & Howard came up this morn & we washed her sheets. Rainy this p.m. & they stayed all night. We were up to Mr. Flora's this Eve.

(July 31.) - Wed. - Annie & H. went down on the milk {illegible} & helped Mrs. Simpson cook to-day for the social.

mama helped Mrs. Knapp & i finished ironing. Henry & I went to the social to-night at Stone's {illegible}. Had a fine time. they made about {illegible} 30.00.

Aug 4. - Sun. - Service 2.30 p.m. Cool & showery. Henry has been up to grandma's all day. Retired early.

Aug. 5 - Mon. - 'Civic Holiday.' Washed. Laura was here this Eve. Showery to-day & cool tonight.

Aug. 6 - Mon. - Laura went Around the hon" Went to the post-office this p.m. Mr. Kyle bound our grass seed this p.m. Mabel L. Leoia K. & I planned to drive in to B. to-gether to-morrow thurs. Johnston was here all night.
