Dec.22. - tues.- straightened up at the hall this a.m. went to Row's Corner's Xmas tree 2. p.m. Retired early.

Dec. 23. - Wed. - papa is 61. yrs. to-day. Preparing for Xmas. reviwed an Xmas postal.

Dec. 24.- thurs. - Very busy cooking & cleaning for Xmas. Decked the "tree" to-night Expect Santa. Mr. Walker brought us some Xmas "syrup" this Eve.

"Dec.25." - fri.- Christmas Day. Elsie, {illegible} & family arrived 10.30 a.m. & Annie's, p.m. All here for tea. Mrs. Will Read was here this p.m.

Rec'd cards from Laura S. to-night. Had a good time. All went away 8 p.m. "Very cold.'

Dec.26. - Sat. - Busy straightening up. Ada {illegible} funeral was 1 p.m. at the Baptist church algonquin.
