June Friday 3 1927
Jean took me to town with her in the morning to help ship the cream and do some shopping while Dan disced turnip ground. Spudded thistles in the strawberries till now and then spudded thistles in oats and hoed spuds after dinner till {Mr. or Ms.} Webster was ready to go to work. Laid out line of poles, roofed them and planted the first one.
Saturday 4
A wet morning, Filled {tank?} in attic after breakfast then helped fix latch on doors and then spent most of the day housecleaning in the cellar. "Hot Dog!" we had some time Dug my first hole for hydro poles before milking time. Had a feed of {figs?} at town at night along with Eleanor & Melville. Katie Birley's wedding day.
