Wednesday November 29th

It turned much colder during the night and froze and thawed snowed a little. Dad did not go back to plow this morning as it was so disagreeable and he did not get an early start but went over in the corner field he plowed first and shovelled ditches. I sawed a little wood.

Gus. Smith was over this morning to see Dad. Frank Vyse also came over to get Dad to put another bandage on his mare's foot I cleaned out Titus' old chicken house and knocked a couple of boards of the back of it so the sheep could get in from the orchard on bad nights. I tried to coax them in but did not succeed although they are fairly tame.

I went over to the field where Dad was digging mud, for awhile this after noon and then came up and read till the cows (which we sent back in the gully for a drink) came up and then I did chores and Dad came in. Aunty went over to Mrs. Arthur Battersby's this after noon.
