beau but said no it was on business. I then went up the back way to our post office but failed to get a letter. Annie & Sarah went to Bronte. After we were all in bed there was a knock at the door & Sarah got up & went down to Maria for her to go to the door. it happened to be Mrs Wild.

Tuesday 14th. 83. Aug. We picked the black caps. Mrs. Wild came when we were eating our dinner she stayed & had hers. Maria got ready & went over with her. Little Martia went with E.M. over to Brays then he took them to Hixson's. Ida made a cake wreath for our cake. I got ready first & I went
