Thur. 18th.. /84. Churning. It very cold. P.M. I wrote letter to Josie G.S. & Ida went to practise Rosa C. called for them & I stayed to wait on Ma. Ma fretting because folks not coming home. I sat up & crocheted untill Ida & S. come home at 11. I went to door & E.W. & J.I. there with them. E. W. & J.I. took all the girls that were at practise consisting of 7, to the "darky" cake walk. It 12 when got to bed.
Frid 19 Dec/84. I ironed wrapper & swept up stairs B.4 dinner. Ida & I finished dishes when Joe come up to see us. I dressed & to P.O. Cobblers & down skating. Had a splendid skate with E.W. He broke his skate. When Got home, E.M. & Maria's had just arrived. Everybody in a bustle. I got S. to write a card to Annue I crocheted a little & to bed.
Sat. 20th../84. Snowy. Busy all day. Ma worse & stayed in bed all day. Max came. E.M. brot home mail 1 letter for Frank 1 for M.W. & M.L. & himself & a card for S. from A. Us all looking at prizes & cards. I fixing corsets. After tea Ada R. & Mandia came & I just putting there things away when E.W. came, & went in kitchen & sewed & combed my hair. John Ing. came all came to practise dialogue. E.W. gave ma an ambertite {ambrotype} of his which he got in Hamilton to day, & also a Xmas present of a knife. Arthur called for Ada & all went 9.30 Mr Curtis came to see Annie about school. M.L. saw in Globe that Annie passed.
