April talking to San. He wanted to know what ailed me I looked so queer with hair banged. He wanted to know if I had to take cholorform to get them cut. They went at 11 before having some music In violin & organ. I mixed bread at 12 to bake
Sat 21st.. I tryed to finish baking just got it done & had to go to bed at 11 & got up at 1 P.M. & cleaned floor. Ida got home at 2. Went to bed at 8.
Sun. 22nd.. Lovely day. Went to SS. came home after SS. Lottie Bray with me so turned corner & went home back way cause she saw Dave coming. He met me & gave me a drive home & I left my shoes books in house & we started for Sarah's it lovely drive Had quite a talk going up about "Walton {girls?} champion" & chewing tobacco etc. Got there at 4 P.M. girls to church but got soon got home after we got there. Alf & I {mombing?) he kissing me before Dave. Had tea then Alf milked & Dave out to barn with him after got dishes done us singing & talking we came home at 9. Had a lovely drive home moonlight but Annie with us & rather crowded Got home at 10.30 We thanked him for drive & I said I enjoyed it so he said he hoped we would enjoy another before the summer was over if I was willing & I said I didn't know I would see if I was living
Mon 23rd.. I drove Annie to school then washing Annie walked home
Tues 24 I drove her to school saw Dave working making on a fire he said the room felt a little chilly wanted me to get warm too. We walked he came over to buggy said he had stopped chewing tobacco & took winter greens instead. ML & Emily missionary collecting
Wed 25th.. Nice day but {chilly?} I felt awfully tired Had a nap after dinner I writing in this when E.M. brot Dave in house so talked to him till 10. I lent him "Aunt Jane's {?}" to read. He said when ever he wanted to chew he would take out my gem & look at it instead of chewing tobacco. Thot it was time to play croquey soon.
Thur 26th.. Warmest day I fixing {?} & sewing seed in {pans?frames?} & potatoe also Emily Triller called for M.L. to go collecting. I making rug, Went to P.O. met M.L. & talking in front of Dollonds Dave came along but he went on to P.O. & we came home. {Ivy?) Wily up at Bronte & took sick not expected to {cut off}
Frid 27th April. I cleaning yard in A.M. Then working my P.M. it a very warm day. E.M. went to station to meet Maria W coming home I got work done & went to lane got playing mouth organ Dave went past whistling but I too late to see him. I stayed there & he came whistling back so stood talking He walked up lane with me & telling me his dream about me & himself. Folks teasing me when I went in house. Maria bot Isa & I new dress. We sent our money {cut off}
Sat 28th.. Very busy. Girls moved out stove I busy in garden.
Sun 29th.. Nice day A & I walked to SS. saw Dave in the distance not to speak Had a new preacher not very good stayed for class came up road {? cut off} In evening up to concession reading "Beulah" came in at 7 & went to bed. Ida & Annie went to B church. A Brod came home with them. Thot it {? cut off} Sarah & Alf down for dinner & back {cut off}
Mon 30th.. Washing. Mr Lucas here all day his birthday. Emma Bray called I walked to Bronte with her went to see Ivey Wiley she very sick. Went to bed at 8.
Tues. 1st May Rather cold day. M.W. sick & M.L. in Doing housework
Wed 2nd.. May. Gus Skinons birthday. Housecleaning dining room. Dr Rush called to see M.L. toothache. He saw Ida & I white washing. I went to bed at 7.15. Dave came but never knew he came until morning.
