peas. Saw Dave. he took us across road to Mr K & then we came back & went & picked peas. Dave came back when got peas picked & carried basket into house. We looking at garden & sat down on ground verandia & talk. Then Dave came home with us & carried basket & shelled peas. he sat down & thot was going to have a good talk when the girls all asked him to come in & then he went. I was dissapointed. We all made a bee & shelled peas B4. going to bed.
Sun 8th.. July. Nice day. I had bkft at 10. Mt H. went to S.S. with us. Marlon there. Not many to church. In choir. Walked up road with Marlon & Mr H. Marlon went home. Archie cot up to us at gate & came in for tea. Mr H. & Stewart here also for tea. Archie & I out walking and in garden had a fine talk. Ida & A & Mr H went to lake when got back had a splendid sing & to bed at 10.30.
Mon 9th.. S & Alf drove down when we were eating bkft. they anxious to see Mr H. Mr H. helped me churn & Alf did also. Then us out picking berries & corn.Annie & Mr H went fishing also Pa & Alf went too. Mrs. Gillespy & Bella McPherson called had baby too. Mr H. went home on 6 train. A took him to station. Alf went home & took Ida & left S. down to do her fruit.
Tues 10th.. July Picking here shipped one crate the last of season
Wed 11th.. Washing & I baking & S picking goose berries to do up M.L. went to P.O. & She came up with Ella us in parlor cleaning Berries It very windy & had a heavy shower of rain Ella was up a little while.
Thur 12th.. S ironing. A & Pa went to Oakville & Postville in P.M. S went over to Mrs Brodericks. Marias' & I picking goose berries I got all ready to drive S. home, Whe Alf & Ida drove her. Then Marlon came. Alf took Annie & S home with him. Marlon & I had a game of croquey ourselves. Then had a sing he went at 10.
Frid 13th.. I baking bread etc. shipped 3 baskets of gooseberries. Ida & I went to pick some peas in our field when met Annie & Dan going over with baby.) get up had cramps so bad.. Got up at 11. & made a cake
Sat 14th.. I took sick & {?} helped a little bit. Not able to do much. Boys haying.
Sun 15th.. July 1888. Got up early & M.L. & I walked up to the M.P. S.S. It rather hot day & smokey. We went to Speers' for dinner. Had a nice time Austin Speers showed me their garden. Then Archie drove us down in time for our S.S. Stayed for church. Then Archie drove me home but didn't stay. Had Mr & Mrs Stuart for tea. I went out in garden to read & Joe B. came along. Hadn't been down for 4 weeks. I rather vexed. Had a nice talk when going home. Made arrangements to go to Street.
Mon 16th.. Ida got letter from Floe asking if it would be convenient for her & Gus to come up next Sun. Washing.
Tues 17-Wed 18th.. Cleaning up stairs & busy when Alf & S brot Annie home it raining. I picked 2 baskets straw berries & gave one to Sarah. I wrote letter to Joe
