teetering over a chair trying to have fun. Didn't Archie have to tell me about it coming home how he thought it "so childish" Dave & I got to gether & he telling me about his trouble How B. had gone back on him with out any apparent reason. She there but rather stiff wouldn't speak hardly. He treated me to lemmade. Got with Archie coming home Ida & John Doty walked home together It 12. when got in Dave came up behind us & came in Archie rather angry because I left him a while & went with Dave. Said he felt he was in the wrong place & wouldn't do it again. He so sedate & whimsical. I out of patience with him. Dave stayed & talked til.... Had a great talk. He stayed all night & slept in Pa's bed.

Frid 23rd.. Aug, I baking bread & got down cooking then went to bed sick. got up at 4 PM. Mrs McCay & McCraney cakked I busy till 8 Oclock. Annie came home on noon train. Pa on eve train home. Writing in this.

Sat 24th.. Aug. I baking Annie helping. Ida sewing I not very able to do much work but got through early. Ida drove to Station to meet Floe Skison she came. Then Annie E.M. & Jane went to Oakville. I going to practise & Ida & Floe walked down lane with me & we met Dave coming & he said no lights in church so I didn't go. We had some singing I done most of playing. Dave sang a few pieces Then Dave started to go & we all came out in dining room & had some taffy. Dave in cupboard eating pie & I talking to him said he got home 5.30 changed his clothes & woke folks up & his folks never knew but that he in all night. Thur eve. He went at 10.30 us girls all talked till 12.
