Sat 18th.. Jan 1890 1st>.. noise I heard was baby crying It Lila's Alton baby she left it with S. about 5.30 A.M. & we had to mind both & do our work on Sat we had a terrible time I baking & had to leave it & nurse child. It very cross I so tired it 5 O'clock PM when they came for it. Wolsley came home with them.
Sun 19th.. / 90. S. & Alf got ready & drove to Bronte 1st.. ttime since 8 weeks for Sarah to be at Bronte. It lovely day. I laying down to have a nap when Wolsley came to ask me over to go to church with them but I hadn't my hat with me so couldn't go. I slept all P.M. Then Alf came back we had tea & we went over to Mr Altons to have a sing. Alf went home and left me so Phil came home with me through rain and he stayed and talked till nearly 12. Alf said he met Joe & Frank walking down to church.
Mon 20th.. Jan I keeping house for Alf Had Mr John Breckon call & Phil brot over my hat. I wrote letter to Anson Mr Geo Mc came & talked till 10 about tobacco, dancing & painting.
Tues 21st.. I put out clothes to get dry when Gertie came over & asked me to go over to Josie in P.M. so I went & called for her & had a nice time she & Josie made taffy we stayed for tea then Phil came over in eve & us looking at cards then having some music. It very cold. took Gertie home 1st.. then he came over to Alf with me. They had a laugh at me over to Josies for when I went to kiss their baby I said "won't you kiss your Auntie?" & they said now I know which one it is.
Wed 22st.. Jan / 90. S . & I. talking could hardly get work done she telling me news from Bronte.
Thur 23nd.. Nothing more than usual Phil bro't his photos from P.O. to show us.
Frid 24rd / 90. Alf away all day killed chicken for market after tea & us picking them when Phil & Geo Alton came Hurried & got done then us had some music & talking Geo Alton picked up Sarah's breast glass off window & looking at it but didn't ask what it was. S & I didn't know what to say. They making arrangements to go to Bronte to have a skate Sat eve.
