May 1893

14 Was in bed most of the day. cold & raw
15 Rain in the morning. but fine in Afternoon. Jimie sowed hay seed, And put out some manure. J.C. went to Dominionville this morning. Gave me V Joe Lapare got 2 bush wheat. so has 7 animals on our Branch farm
16 Rain in evening. I baked today.
17 3. P.M. Had very heavy rain yesterday from noon until midnight. It began to rain at 3. P.M. today. I was at Sniders last night till 11. And am not so well today. they have a younge daughter Pa & Jimie were fishing this forenoon. Got 2 succers, 8 perch & 4. forbidden fish
18 Rain am not much better
19 Jimie had a letter from Farqueher. Lapare came and got 6 bush oats he is to plant 2 bush of potatoes for us for the oats
20 Jimie went to Alexandria to draw Fars Money from the Bank. And send it to F. Robertson along with Bell Teleph Note. Got at Willies 1 lb tea 3 lbs raise 1 lb starch 1 gall coal oil 92 cts 92
21 Sunday. a fine drying day. Pa paid A.C. 25 for Record. 100 for Presbyter College 25 for Collection 1.25 25
22 Jimie got Rufus shod on Saturday got castor oil for buggy. I finished planting the garden Whitford got 15 bush 31 1/2 pecks oats 40 40
23 It is cold. There was quite a storm of wind I heard that the roof of Mrs McLaurin's house was blown off
