THURSDAY, 12
Done chores. Brock cultivating in manure on 7 ac. (3rd field) in forenoon and Jack harrowing. Cultivated and harrowed part- ly in afternoon. Henry came home and put in drain back of low driving house. I to town for morning. Cloudy and light rain. East wind.
FRIDAY, 13
Finished, sowing and harrowing the 7 ac. in forenoon. Then cultivating in back 14 ac. next to Ewing's in afternoon. Mother and I to cemetry to Luke Dubey's funeral in afternoon. Very heavy downpour about five o'clock. Thunder & lightening.
SATURDAY, 14
Done chores and planted some more potatoes in garden in forenoon. Jack cultivating in back 13 ac. in other place in afternoon. And Brock filled in drain behind hay driving house and up to road. We to town at night. Henry finished up about six o'clock. Dull and cloudy. Cold wind at night.
