shot it off & seen fellows by then had pumkins made into faces light eyes. Us three reading {attending?} to bed.
Sat. 27th./ 84. Raining all morning & I swept in hall & did scrubbing & got dinner & I did dishes & pick cucumbers & scrubbed & got through at 4. Lizzie help me make a flannel shirt & I got eating my supper when M. F. L. came up lane & Ida went to entertain him & I went to milk & then S. & Ida & Frank played organ with him & I did their work & they finished my shirt. S. & M.F.L. walking in garden & us writing in album at. We all write in MFL's album.
Sun. 28th. Sep It seemed to take me a long time to get work done I played on organ then Frank called me & I went & had some watermelons & I got washed & had dinner & then went to S.S. It rained stayed for church no organist hard times to get singing started. S. & I went to McCraneys for Gordon & Mrs. lent us a shawl & ulster {long loose overcoat} & Joe took Gordon home we had quite a time. Davidson & Archie Spears at our place & Ma laughing at S. in ulster. I had to play & sing for them. After Davidson went but Archie stayed till after Pa read & I was so sleepy I laying on sofa in parlor & then Ida & I
