Thursday March 27. Cold with snow. Temp. 16°. Jessie and Uncle Alfred were in.

Friday March 28. Mild with a small fall of snow. Temp.

Saturday March 29. Warm and Fine. Temp. 28°.

Sunday March 30. Fine and mild temp. 40°.

Monday March 31. Rain in the morning but fine part of the afternoon. Temp 39°. School started. Oliver came in. Johnnie came in and went away to Stratford.

Tuesday April 1. Fine with cold wind. Temp. 29°.

Wednesday April 2. Fine and warm, Temp. 28°.

Thursday April 3. Very wet and dull. Temp. 29°.

Friday April 4. Wet and warm

Transcription Tips

  • Follow the example of transcribing provided in the first few PDF files of this diary.

  • Copy the text as it is, including misspellings and abbreviations.
  • Start each new day with a new line. Otherwise ignore spacing and alignments.

  • Note: If a line on one page appears to carry over on the same line on the next page, please check the next page and (if applicable) transcribe both pages together as if they are one page. Type your unified transcription under the first of the two pages.
