6th of April 1899 very Fine Day Went up to the Sugar Bush Fernandez came from Cornwall John H was up too gathered about 65 pails Boiled it in Syrup what they had before Lambs Dying with the Sheep not Letting them suck air-hole full of Ducks Frog-hawk came Robins *

7th Fine Day Froze Last night Swallows came Shot 8 Ducks in the air-hole Wild Geese going Down not running well took Down 5 cans to Day Began to Rain to night wind hard and snowing some to night Sissy crofsed to Summerstown had 7 Dozen of Eggs 70 cents Sugar 10 cents a Lot of Shooting Down South East

8th Rain Foggy smoky Doing nothing

9th On This Day of the Month I was Married Lowed Sunday Rain Snow Sap not Running ice opened in Holes here and there

10th Fine cool Leander crofsed to Hamiltons got a Letter From John Cameron Junction City Kansas with his Pothagraph sealed in the Letter Fernandez in the Bush along

11th on the Day of the Month Uncle John Departed 1893 * Married 1862 * 9th

12th Froze Last night Rained Foggy Boiling in the Bush Began to shoot on the Sturgeon Island Randolph came Muskrats coming near shore put out Gordons Boat Thunder to Day Lightning to night Loons came ice Jamming

13th very Fine not running well Randolph and Leander after Ducks Randolph ewnt of had 8 or 9 pairs of Ducks Shot a Rat

14th Fine not Running after Ducks Big Jams of ice Going Down Drops of Rain

15th Fine Boiling in pan I went up to the Bush ice clearing good Found a Tick on EEl Island a Fortunate Day
