25th of January 1900 Robie Burns Birth Day Writing a Letter to Helen Raining one of the calves Died skinned him

26th West Wind cold stormy Leander came From Randolphs Had the Picture of JA Burtons House the Ring Ribbons all all Frosty Windy

27th Fine cool Frosty Randolph with 2 axes to Grind Sent 2 Papers to Daisy and a Letter to Helen it wont go till Monday I Must Write another to her to let her Know I got what she sent as its not in my Letter the Picture

18th Sundy John H came Leander to church

29th Fine cold Frosty Leander & Fernandez went to chop for Randolph Wrote another Letter to Helen Letting her know I got the Picture But Havent sent it off yet

30th Fine Day Cool Turned warm a change in the Wind East Began to snow Stanley put out a Few Loads of Manure on the corn ground Fine Leander came to night Jo Douquett cutting ice

31st Stanley and Leander went to Lancaster to get the Horses shod Sent Letter to P.O Bought cap sugar Tea Jo Mitchell here Potatoes Butter a Frosty night

1st of February 1900 The Black Month Frosty Day Randolph here Grinding his axe McArthurs and Grant here for a Dog they Lost crossed from Frasers Point Fernandez came from Jo Douquetts oiling the Harness Stanley a Frosty night Lots of Sundogs on Both Sides of the Sun Like a Rainbow Frosty night to night Windy

2nd Candle-Mafs Day Fine cool and Frosty Stanley oiling Harnefs 2 Boys went to chop with Randolph Broke on a Stack of Marsh Hay

3rd Fine cold and Frosty oiling Harness they say it was 24 Below zero yesterday the choppers came home to night

4th Fine East Wind Snowing some John H and Dan Spink and Gordon here Stanley paid Gordon for the Boots 2 Dollars

5th Randolph Grinding his axe Bad with Toothache Leander went with him to Fort Covington got his Tooth Fixed Leander got his hair cut Wrote a Letter to Eaton For 88 cent worth of Stuff Put a Dollar in the Letter Paid for Postage and Registering of it Fernandez crofsed with it got a Mink yesterday
