9th I got to Elgin for dinner Jim had his at Sarahs we got Ripley job up & had tea at Pats. I spent 20 cts was a nice day I stayed at Pats alnight Levi C. was there in eve. I got a ticket from Emma Brown 25 cts

10th I got Mr Cambells waggon went out to Stanton Quarry got two bases one for Nichols slab & one for Pennock slab they were 50 cts I left them under the Me. church shed got top on one in after noon paid Geo. Howard 80 cts for hauling Ripley base from Station was a cloudy day misting rain some I paid Pat in full I think it was $2.25 left after four went around by Luther Cooms called there at Jack Sly's Thos. Morris at Sarahs on to had tea came home Mr Ripley paid me in full $150 Andy came home from Orange Hall with me. 20 cts for Acid to day

11th It rained mostly all day I went over in after-noon & out to Sarahs this eve

12th Went to Elgin finished those two bases had dinner & tea at Pat's was a cloudy day 5 cts for tool sharpening paid Pat $1 came out called just a few minutes came home

13th came to Town this Morn Jim & Dave to change horses I am giving him Jack for Flossie am to give him $20 or $10 & ld horse got to Town after ten went down paid $200 on my note got it renewed for $200 for one month paid Inst on now not $1.10 Mr. Geo. Bracken paid Mr Dennis note this morn $100 there is $5 Int coming yet has been a nice day I went to show in eve 25cts Thos Dempster & I spent 10 cts

14th I worked in fore noon Jimmy Bishop & I got up three bases that came with Darling I gave him 75 cts pay in full for this & some other help 50 cts for a ticket for C.O.F excursion Went down among the Islands to the Bay back to Clayton stoped half & hour I spent 20 cts got back to Town a little before seven The High Court of C.O.F held there meeting here this week the excursion was for them I spent 20 cts in eve R. Sly & went
