As a youth Angus travels west on a harvest excursion. Once settled into family life, he is a business-minded farmer and helps his sons build various gadgets such as a miniature thresher. In 1930 he is ordained as Deacon for the North Woolwich District and throughout his life he takes a keen interest in Mennonite History publishing in 1941 “The Bauman Family History.” His diary captures the details of his family’s activities and the Mennonite community around Floradale.
