Edward emigrates from England in 1886 and is employed by Erastus James Landon as a farm labourer on the Fairfax Road.  Look at his artistry and penmanship on the title page.  He engages his new life.  He attends several barn raisings, church and the Orange Lodge.  He also works alongside various farmers on the drag saw, hay press and thresher as these machines make their way around the neighbourhood.  By 1891, he seems to have left the area.
