Jessie makes very few entries into her diary save for the years 1898-1900 when her writing is more detailed and regular.  By then her three sons are young men and travelling to work for others.  Jessie has an identical twin, Catherine, who according to the 1891 census is living with the Geddes but then moves with her daughters to Toronto.  Jessie writes of the activities of her family, health, and trips to visit her sister.
