In 1921, Molly and her father live alone. As a widow and a widower, they care for each other. As his health declines, Molly takes over the diary, though he sometimes writes in it. When not busy with her father and doing daily chores, she braids mats, quilts, sews, updates the decorating, travels to Port Elgin, and attends Women’s Institute (W. I.) and Missionary meetings. She enjoys the company of her brother Will and his wife Cassie who live on the same property. That June, she holds a W.I. garden party at her home. At the back you will find her hen account.
