18 Chored. Boys went fishing at dead water PM. caught 14 fine fish & one eel W. heavy rain last night & heavy this evening a sort of Cyclone passed from west to east across north of us blowed off some of Anthonys barn stable roofs about 30 acres of old Milne pine bush

19 drew 3 Basswood logs from old Bush to SM & got them sawed boys fixed some fence along 11th Con Boys planted some potatoes in fall wheat in spots

22 Flavius ganged & harrowed turnip land John plowed in fallow & began to make turnip drills this evening I killed calf & went to Markham Pm W. warm

19 Drew in 4 loads at other place & I & John took 1 load to Abe Hoover AM raked & Cocked big Meadow after dinner John & Flavius went to raising at Pilkeys after supper W. fine Cool. Cler

I went to Toronto sold 42 lbs Butter @ 20 cts 9 doz egg @ 17 cts 8 Bus Oats @ 47 cts Br C rode with me he is going to Cayuga to assist in ordaining a Minister R S's went with him W. fine.

21 Finished drawing out of big meadow. AM drew 2 loads in at other place heavy shower stopped us about 1/2 past 2 PM. Then we hoed few Turnip & shovel plowed some Potatoes John & Flavius went to Markham after supper

Sunday 22 at home all day AB's were here PM W. Thunder shower last & night. pretty heavy towards morning

23 Boys harrowed fallow at other place AM then they drew in last of hay The rakings out of big meadow after supper which finished our hay making Herman began cross plowing fallow at home W. fine. cool. I went to Whitevale this morning & thinned turnips We made 40 good loads of hay

2 boys plowed barly stubble AM John & Benj' drew in Black barly 2 loads at other place out of little Orchard & brought home last load Peas where we intend putting wheat I & Nancy went to Johnny Reesor's went to Markham W. pretty warm John plowed & harrowed last of Peaground at other place F & H harrowed & rolled barly stubble John began sowing PM I went to Ceder Grove 88 deg W. very warm

24 John & Herman finished NW corner field except a little on Knoll Flavius & Benj'n brought home Plow W. shower this morning warm today heavy rain tonight this is my son John's Twenty first Birthday

25 Flavius & Herman finished plowing Knoll & began behind barn I took Br C to Green River Station on Ontarioi & Quebec Railway it is on W Butter farm near Belford ( & I think it ought to be Called Belford) the road has been in running order since about the 1st of July. Br C is going to Jordan for a few days, then we run about 100 Bus of barly through the Machine to beard it I went to Uncle Josephus Reesor's PM to them them that Old Christian Hoover will be Buried tomorrow Christian Raymer was Buried yesterday
