Sat Jan 1. New Years Day. We had the gathering fine and mild, a little foggy and the snow going in the afternoon.

Sun Jan 2. Fine and moderately cold. Uncle, aunt Mattie and I at church.

Mon Jan 3. Fine morning then turned cold and flustery in the afternoon. Election day. Uncle did not go out. I called at mrs Blarkes

Tue Jan 4.Fine but extremely cold. 7 below zero. Willies are thrashing.

Wed Jan 5. Rained and sleeted all very slippery. Willies could not thrash. We took our hens to the barn.

Thur Jan 6. Fine and moderately cold. good sleighing. Aunt Mattie and I walked out to W.A. called at mrs Henry's. The machine came at night, bad getting up lane.

Fri Jan 7. Fine and mild. thrashed and cut feed. finished about 4.30.

Sat Jan 8. Fine and moderately cold. Uncle at Mr {illegible} funeral. then took me to the Rink in the evening.

Sun Jan 9. Fine day Uncle, Aunt Nellie and I at church.

Mon Jan 10. Fine but cold and frosty we washed and churned 16 pounds butter. Annie Cooper walked out in the morning.

Tue Jan 11. Fine and moderately cold. Mr and Mrs Breakey, Mr and Mrs Gibson and Ida Clarke here.

Wed Jan 12. Fine bright day splendid sleighing Uncle and Aunt Mattie at Thornhill. Aunt Nellie at Mrs Whites in the afternoon. Uncle took me to the Carnival.

Thur Jan 13. Fine but colder East wind. Uncle in Toronto. Aunt Nellie at an extra W.A. meeting, she had dinner and tea at Mothers.

Fri Jan 14. Storming all day from East. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Mr Clarkes to tea. Our lane pretty full but able to get through.

Sat Jan 15. Fine bright day but cold, Uncle in Toronto. I walked to the Rink and Uncle brought me home.

Sun Jan 16. Fine day milder. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. The last service with old seats.

Mon Jan 17. Fine and mild untill afternoon it came wet snow. I went to Toronto. go articles for the tree. I called at Aunt Lizzies. Uncle and aunt met me in sleigh. after getting Cushions at the church.

Rained heavily in the morning. then cleared at noon. Uncle took Auntie and I to Miss Wilcox.

Fine day a little colder, very slippery the sleighing not quiet so good. Uncle in Toronto. Auntie and I called at Mrs {illegible} but she was away.

Fine bright mild day. A little sloppy. Uncle drove Aunt Nellie and I out to W.A. {illegivble} {illegible.} Dr {illegible; might be Campbell} here in the afternoon. Uncle at Thorn hill in the evening. William {illegible} died.

Raining then turned to wet snow. very slushy. received word of Williams death and Uncle and Aunt Mattie went to Toronto on the 2.O'clock car.

Raining heavily from the east then turned to snowing and flowing a dreadful day. Uncle, Willie, and Aunt Nellie at Thorn hill but got word that William's funeral was postponed, Mr Dean was buried in the afternoon.

Rather stormy. We were at home all day.

Fine and mild, I went to Toronto on {illegible} car, the others on the {illegible}. I got my muff. $10, the funeral was at 2.O'clock.

Beautiful day moderately cold. Washed, churned. Mr {illegible} and Ball called . I was at Mr Bones party. Mr Wilcox's here in the eve.

Fine day, untill afternoon and evening it was very rough East storm, Uncle in Toronto, very bad getting up the lane. the last time up.

Fine and mild. John Bones here for dinner Aunt Mattie at Willies for tea. started up field

Fine bright day and mild. Mr and Mrs {illegible} and Annie here for tea.

Fine bright day. I called at Mr {illegible} in the morning. Uncle took me tot the rink. I have a slight cold.

Fine with exception of a little flurry of snow . Mrs Clarke, William and Herbert here for tea.

Snowed a little most of the day. I went out to the Hockey match with Eddie and Ida Clarke.

Fine bright day splendid sleighing. Uncle and Aunt Mattie called at Mrs Gibsons and Lydia Wilson. then they went to call at Mr Howards in the evening.

Rather stormy untill noon it cleared. a great {illegible} of snow. and very light, made fruit Cake.

Fine bright day a little colder. I went to Toronto. washed and Uncle at newton {illegible} in eve. Frank and Charlie churned. Teasdale here. Willie helping Uncle clean up wheat.

Fine bright day but very cold. Uncle up at Richmond hill with a load of wheat. I went out to the Rink and remained at Mothers.

Fine but very cold. 14 below zero, I came home in the afternoon. Uncle at Willies.

Fine day. we made 100 small cheese cakes and one coconut cake. Uncle at Richmond hill in the afternoon. flowing a little snow in the evening

Beautiful day, moderately cold. We took a little over a basket of sandwich, two fruit cakes and coconut cake and eight dozen cheese cakes Proceeds $100: cleared.

Very mild untill afternoon it started to snow and blow. Uncle at Mr Teasdales in the morning. We started to go to the Carnival but turned back on account of storm.

Fine but very cold. Annie Cooper walked out but remained over. Annie, Charlie and Frank Teasdale here for tea. were snow shoving.

Very cold at first then moderating. In the morning 22 below zero in some places. Uncle took Annie home.

Snowing a little all day. Uncle took me to the Rink in the evening. 1 egg.

Fine and moderately cold. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at Methodist Church. called at Mothers.

Fine bright day, Uncle in Toronto, I took milk {written in gap on page above text: Teasdale girls called.} to Mr {illegible} and he gave me two dozen eggs.

Rather stormy then sleeted and very rough. Dr Campbell here for dinner. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at Mr Teasdale {might be Teasdalre} for tea.

Fine day moderately cold. {illegible; might be Sessor} here. I walked out to the Rink. Uncle down to Eglington.

Fine day. Uncle, Aunt Nellie and I at church at the Methodist. called at Mothers.

A fall of wet snow last night. Aunt Nellie and I called at Mrs Bracks, {illegible}, and {illegible}, a beautiful afternoon.

Fine bright day, Mr and Mrs Wilcox and Miss Wilcox called. We all were at Willies to tea, it started to storm a little at night.

Rather stornmy and drifting through the day, our gateways filled the first time Uncle went out and dug them in the evvening. I got out to the store.

Fine bright day, I walked to the car. went to Toronto called at Alices then for Lily Wallbridge at 574.Bathurst Street. Uncle met us at the car. Uncle, Aunt Nellie and Lily at the church Opening $35:

Fine day moderately cold. Clara and Frank Teasdale here to spend the evening.

Fine untill evening it rained. Uncle, Lily and I went to Mothers out skiing and to Rink

Fine and very mild watery in our field. Uncle took Lily to the car. and Lizzie came home. with him. I took milk to Mr {illegible}.

Fine adn very mild, Uncle took Lizzie home in morning, 2 egg's today. Willie and Grant here. W. helping Uncle to clean up wheat. good walking on the snow banks. the water over the road. Mrs Clarke called in the evening.

Fine and very mild. Uncle at Woodbridge. then took Aunties to W.A. meeting. Uncle at Thorn hill in the evening. I walked to store water over.

Fine and mild. Uncle took milk to Mr {illegible} and got eggs. Willies here for dinner at night. Mr and Mrs Henry called. Grant sick with a cold.

Very, very mild all sloppy. We washed and churned {'no skating' is written in the margins}. Uncle digging the ditch and let water off the road. I walked to store {illegible} dry. three eggs.

Rather threatening thundered and lightened. Uncle and Auntie started to church but turned around. Auntie and I went over to see Grant Marjorie and Charlie came over for tea another thunder and lightning storm in eve but very little rain.

Colder and windy. David Smellie came out for Aunt Mattie. Uncle at Newton {illegible} in {'Buggy' written in black penicl} the evening. a little flurry of snow. {'Buggy out.' written in pencil}.

Fine but a little flustery. I called to see Annie Teasdale. Uncle took the shutter to Thornhill in the afternoon. roads sloppy but water all gone.

Fine bright day. Uncle took me out to the Rink and I remained over night. Auntie and Mother at Alices visiting. ice pretty good. {'Buggres out' written in black pencil.}

Fine day I walked home in the morning. Aunt M. gone back to Givens Street.

Fine bright day. I was at Mr Breakeys afternoon tea. thirty there. Uncle came to Mothers for me. Marjorie came over to stay.

Fine bright and warm. the snow is going rapidly today. Uncle in Toronto skating but I did not go out. Marjorie went home.

Cold wind and a little {illegible}. We went to church. Dr Campbell here.

Fine but very high wind and freezing. We went over to Willies in the evening. We got seven eggs.

Fine but cold freezing. Willie got bit with dog.

Fine bright day. sunshine all day. Uncle in Toronto to try to hire a man. I walked to the Rink and Uncle came for me. freezing hard at night.

Fine bright day. Uncle at mr {illegible} sale. Mr Botham came home with him. Aunt Mattie came home in the afternoon.

Fine bright day. Uncle took Mr Botham away. Aunt Mattie and I called at Mrs Whites. Annie and Lizzie here for tea. Uncle took them home. I saw a Robin.

Fine and very mild. Uncle brought Mother out. I went to Rink but very poor ice. watery, Robins. Blackbirds, Blue Birds and. Meadowlarks alll here. Thunder through the night.

Fine and very mild, soft wind. Dr Campbell called. We went to evening church. down the lane lane first time.

Fine mild day. We washed and churned. did up bed covers. matress covers. Our last churning.

Fine warm day. roads all dry. Auntie cleaned moms room and painted part. Uncle and Willie at Mr Gorderhams Sale. I called to see Annie Teasdale. sold eggs 24 {illegible}.

Fine day mild. Auntie finished painting room We all went to Mary Watsons to tea. I called at Miss {illegible} to see dress.

Fine day very, very warm. Snow nearly all gone except in ditcches. Aunties and I went to Toronto on G.T.R. Albert Lyons buried. frogs out.

Good Friday. fine bright day, good roads. Mary and Marjorie here for tea. a little cooler in the eve.

Fine warm day. We cleaned cellar. fine for that work. Uncle helping Willie in the afternoon.

Fine day, a little colder. Easter Sunday. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at church. At Willies to tea.

Fine and warm Easter Monday. Uncle at Vestry meeting. {'cleaned chamber' written in gap above words}. he brought Annie and Lizzie home. Willie called. he went to Toronto in the evening.

Fine and very, very warm. We cleaned Uncle room took up carpet in his and cleaned ours. were very hot working.

A little cooler and windy. We cleaned spare room and Parlor. took out Dining room feeder in afternoon all done now but Dining Room and Kitchen. Willie helped out with stone. Put in Lettuice seed, Willie on land for a little.

Fine and warm. We did gardening, raked etc. I called at Miss Phillips in the afternoon.

Fine and very warm has been all week. Auntie cleaned Pantry and Kitchen cupboards,

Fine but cooler. I put on lighter undervest yesterday. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at church. Willie all here for tea.

Rained in morning and cleared about ten O'clock. {'Mick started to harrow' written in gap above.} Auntie started to wash then. Mick started work. Uncle in Toronto, Aunt Mattie and I looking for Duck eggs,

Fine and very, very hot. Aunt Mattie and I walked to Thorn hill. Auntie collecting missionary. money. we had tea at Mothers Uncle came for us.

Fine day colder. Our teams both out on land. Aunt Mattie and I after Duck eggs again.

Fine but very cold and dreadful wind. Ice this morning. Aunties at W.A. meeting. they got {'cold' written in gap above}.

Cold and a heavy frost.

Fine and moderately cold. I took a setting of eggs to Mr. Devlins. I walked out for hat enamel. had dinner at Mothers and Annie came out for tea.

Fine but windy and cold. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at chruch, Mrs and Mr Breaky here for tea. Our parlor fire light. Leigh Page died.

Rained and snowed a little in afternoon We washed and churned.

Fine bright day. frosty and thick ice. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto with Mother and Annie.

Fine bright day. Uncle at Mr {illegible} funeral. I called to see Annie Teasdale. Aunt Mattie and I walked to Price {illegible} for Duck eggs but saw no one. first calf.

Fine and much warmer, have had a week of cold weather. I called at Mary's. Auntie Mattie called at Mrs Clarkes.

Fine day but windy. Uncle helping Henry Bowes he is moving his farm.

Find but cold east wind. Men finished seeding all but peas.

Rained measly all day at intervals. We did not go to church.

Rained a little in the morning and very foggy.

Raining heavily from the North East. Tom Farr came in the afternoon to remain.

Fine untill evening, a little showery. We washed. Uncle and Tom Farr at Mr Bothams. Willies children here for tea.

Fine and bright. Tom left in the morning. We cleaned the Dining Room. and did up the curtains in the afternoon.

Fine day. Aunt Mattie called to see Annie Teasdale in the afternoon.

Rained in the morning then cleared when we went to the car. Aunt Mattie and I went to Toronto. I went to Dentist. $2.10. Then Auntie and I went to Eatons to get hats. Mine $3.40 went to Alices to remain. rained heavily in eve.

Rained at first and cleared about ten O'clock. Aunt Mattie and I at church of Redeemer. in the evening we went to St Pauls.

Rained and paused in the morning. then cleared and a beautiful afternoon. We took a walk to Rosedale and I called to see Aunt Nancy. We came home on the 7:30 Car. Another calf. It started to rain at nine O'clock again.

Rained and poured a regular flood all over early in the morning. Our men took Pork to Willies to be smoked. Mrs Clarkes children all have measels

Fine but a little dull cleared a little an dried. We washed and churned. Maggie Snider married

Fine but cold a little ice this morning. Uncle and Aunt Mattie at Thorn hill in the evening. Mr Banks here for apples. two Barrells of spies and few {illegible}. Mother paid for Lard. 20 cts per pound.

Rained heavily from the East all day everything soaked. Willie called in the morning for a while.

Fine and clearing. Uncle went to Toronto Lizzie came out for tea and rode home with Mick in the evening.

Cold East wind. Uncle and I at church. rained quite heavily in the afternoon.

Fine and war, moved our Range out at noon. Willie helped us.

Fine and warm. Men put in Roots. We put in beans and some cucumbers. I was at Miss Phillips in afternoon.

Rained last night then cleared and much colder. very high wind. Aunt Nellie called to ask for Annie Teasdale.

A while frost then came out warm. Put Bacon away. I called to ask for Annie Teasdale.

Fine and warmer in the evening it rained heavily. King buried. Aunt Nellie at memorial service.

Fine and very sultry and warm. sat out on Verandah for first in afternoon. called to ask for Annie Teasdale and Mrs Bowes.

Fine with exception of a few sprinkles. Uncle, Aunt Nellie and I at church. We were all at Willies for tea. The Foresters had a sermon at our church.

Rained heavily in the afternoon. I called to ask for Annie Teasdale. Our men finished the Peas. Lettuice for tea. {that was written in a darker shade} for first time.

Empire Day. We all spend the day at Mothers {'I weigh 136 lbs' is written in the margin in blue pen} Went up to Richmond Hill Fair in the afternoon. Is a beautiful day.

Fine but cold and windy. a slight frost this morning. Our men planted the Potatoes. I called to ask for Annie Teasdale.

Fine day very cool. Mr Teasdale and the boys here in the evening. Aunt Mattie called at Mrs Clarkes.

Fine and warm sitting out on the verandah. Uncle in Toronto. Aunt Nellie called at Mr Teasdales. Uncle shot a skunk in the evening.

Cold and windy. a few sprinkles in the morning. I called at Mary's. Aunties at the Dutch Cemetry. Charlie Teasdale called in the afternoon. Mr Teasdale and Frank in the evening. Marjorie came to stay all night. Jim Wise helping men.

Fine and warmer. We all went to Annies funeral. they drove aunt Mattie home in the evening. Jennie Green came.

Dominion Day. We were alone very hot and smoky, Uncle, Aunt Nellie and I went for a drive in the evening. Mick not here.

Fine but dreadful hot and dusty.

Fine and very hot untill about four it came up very cool. We did not go to church. Mr and Mrs Teasdale Clara and Frank here for tea.

Fine and moderately warm. very pleasant Aunt Nellie went on the car to Richmond hill for her watch. men cut orchard.

Fine day and moderately warm. We were at home all day. Took butter out.

Rained heavily in the morning then cleared. the men went home. Uncle took Alice for a drive in the evening. Aunt Mattie called to see Charlie who has a swollen face from tooth-ache.

Fine and very cool. Uncle and Margaret went to evening church. Aunt Mattie and i at Fisherville I wore my new dress.

Fine and cool. Dr Campbell here helping them with the hay. Annie Cooper here for tea. Margaret and Alice left Aunt Nellie got her new waist home. G.T.R. Strike.

Wed Dec 27. Fine but colder and high wind. Aunt Nellie went to Toronto. Uncle at Willies.

Thur Dec 28. Decidedly colder, high wind light coal feeder, aunt Nellie came home. Uncle, aunt Mattie and I at mr Jeasdales in the evening. I put on Winter Gurnsey.

Fri Dec 29. Fine and cold. The Jeasdales here to spend the evening. Fine but wind settled.

Sat Dec 30. Cold East wind, started to snow about six o'clock.

Sun Dec 31. Rained and snowed till the middle of the afternoon quite mild then at dark turned cold and windy, started to wash in house.

End of year 1911.
