Tues Jan 1 New Year's day. Willie's family, Mother, also Elizabeth and Jake here, moderately cold and a beautiful bright day. Grant remained and he and I at. Concert.

Wed Jan 2. Fine and cold. 8 below zero. Grant went home. Annie here in the evening. good roadsd with splendid wheeling.

Thurs Jan 3. Fine and cold below zero. Mrs. Bowes called. Red hen laying.

Fri Jan 4. Fine and cold below zero. I took Lorraine out. M.Chafinian here.{Unsure of name spelling.}

Sat Jan 5. Fine bright day, moderately cold. David and George here for tea. I went to the Rink in the evening.

Sun Jan 6. Fine and moderately cold. I went to morning church. Day of Prayer I went to eve. church. John an Margaret Cook here. Sleeting eve. {Not sure of this last word.}

Mon Jan 7. Fine and mild after fall of snow. washed. Soft water thawed after a week frozen.

Tues Jan 8. Fine and moderately cold. Aunt Nellie at Dentist. Annie and Mrs. Peebles called. I went to Red Cross Meeting. good sleighing again.

Wed Jan 9. Fine but cold and windy. I was at Mrs. Peebles in eve. Carnival.

Thurs Jan 10. Fine but cold. Lorraine here for dinner.

Fri Jan 11. Fine and moderately warm. I was at H. Bowes butchering.

Sat Jan 12. A dreadful storm, all day, did not go out all day, not even dug tracks.

Sun Jan 13. A high wind and still drifting, very cold, pump frozen again. All roads drifted. I went to mail a letter in eve. Churches not open.

Mon Jan 14. Fine but extremely cold, wind settling. Aunt M. called at Mrs. Kellys.

Tues Jan 15. A fall of snow, the cleared. I went to Mrs. Kelly's funeral.

Wed Jan 16. Fine and cold. hard water pump frozen every morning. Mrs. Lawrence and Mr. Jakes called. Mrs. Davidson & children in. Annie here in eve.

Thurs Jan 17. Fine and cold.

Fri Jan. 18. Fine very cold. Mary Watson here. Aunt Nelly called at Bowes and Kellys, Phone.
