Dec 23th 1911 have $5.15 cts I paid Dolph Wiltse $2.00 for putting shaft in waggon drawed $1000 out of Toronto B & $1000 out of Merchants B. gave Mary 300 we gave Mr & Mrs Fred Wills $200 for a Wedding present gave Marjorie $100 got a bottle $1.25 spent about 40 cts got 1 pt of oysters 30 cts 20 cts for mints 30 cts for candies 25 cts for oranges I sold Charles A.McNeil 4 Lots for $76000 he gave me a cheque to night for them Rob & Edith came in this after-noon got two pair of slippers $2.75 one for & Mary & one for myself

24th Rob & Edith went home this after noon was a nice mild day but cloudy I went to church in eve 15 cts

25th I got $1.00 from Mary went to church in morn gave $1.00 We stayed at home alday was a nice but mild day but cloudy

26th got a leadpencil 5 cts got Chas. A. McNeils cheque for 760 cashed left it in B of Tor. gave Mary 50 cts I wrote to Dr Durr{illegible} to-day got out a tracing of Johnston job for Jack L. have left to-night $10.10 cts about seven O'clock I gave Dr Bird $4.00 on our account after this and $1.00 to gave toward Christmas tree presents

27th I wrote to Morris DeLong It turned cold this eve & froze hard to-night

28th I wrote to Leonard G Earl & Wm G. Denny letters 5 cts for stamps 4 cts for post cards Jim was here for dinner got a letter from Jas McGuire with cheque for $30.00 cost 10 cts to get it cashed I gave Mary $2.00 I drove Jim down to Fred Richardsons after Dinner Dora & I went to Christmas tree this eve 10 cts for a treat for Dora

30th I went down paid $31.75 cts Duty on loan & McGhie jobs 50 cts for cartery Jack L & I onboxed them I worked about three hours altogether was a nice day. I have left to-night 30 cts.

We stayed around home till eve I got Gibsons buggy borrowed $2.00 from from Edgar Seale we left about five O Clock came out to Jim's it rained all the time we were coming we had supper I went over to Uncle John's wake stayed alnight

Jan 1st 1912 I took Mary & children over to Jacob's for a few minutes she stayed at Jim's while we went to

the funeral I had supper at Jacobs stayed alnight at Jims was a very windy day Jim gave me $8.00 that Wm Leadbeater left with him for me

2nd We got home about eleven I came up to shop we got Boon and McGhie Dier bankered & Jims started

3rd I got a draft for $700.00 at B of T. for A.M. DeLong cost 70 cts I got this all out of Bank paid Edgar Seale I got horse shod 80 cts & 25 cts for repair on waggon we finished laying on inscription

4th I wrote to Morris DeLong got ready after dinner came down to Johnny Allens stayed for tea got home before nine it snowed some to-night was a cold day I paid P.O. Box rent 25 cts

5th have to-day noon $7.00 W.G. Harris was here to look our house over & Mrs Maggie Singleton could not close a deal with either of them was a nice day

6th I was around town alday was a nice day but cold Jas. McKendry & Dobbs were here for dinner paid a meat bill at W.G. Harris $1.66

7th we took Hubert up to Dr. Lunday I went to sunday school 5 cts I got 15 cets from Mary went to church in eve 10 cts it snowed some was cold

17th have this morn $210.78 cts Bob G was in for dinner I spent 30 cts was a nice day

18th I got Mrs Nellie McNeils cheque cashed $209.00 and left $418.00 in Bank of Toronto it thawed mostly alday it snowed some to-night I wrote to A M DeLong to-day

19th I stayed around home alday I drove R.J. Wilson out to Wes. Stoliker's was a windy day we had Miss DeLong and a telegram to Morris for us but we have not paid her yet

20th 20 cts for leathers for pump

20th I got a telegram from Morris this morn & sent one $1.00 I got $3.00 from Mary have left at three O'Clock 3.28 cts got 25 cts worth of mutton snowed a little last night

21st Mary went to church this morn I gave 25 cts I went to sunday school 5 cts to church in eve 10 cts was a nice day

22nd 10 cts for getting thread on cistern pipe Rob Moulton & Mildred were here for dinner Mildred stayed

22nd I have left to-day noon $2.53 cts

23rd Mildred Went to Kingston to-day it snowed some lastnight

24th 10 cts for cuttle fish bone I broke out to small headstones bases & cut them $1.00 each & got they are for the Humphrey & Atwood jobs got them & McGhie & Coon jobs ready to load

25th Billy Johnston & I loaded Coon & McGhie jobs on Webster sleight got to Elgin abut half past eleven

I brought Humphrey & Atwood jobs they are $6.00 each Coons is $165.00 McGhie $75.00 got through about four O'clock was a nice day I spent 20 cts $1.00 for my fare at Hotel 30 cts for telephoning to M.L Coon & G Earl. I came to Rob Gambles stayed alnight was a cold night Geo. H Howard paid me $25.00 to -day I agreed to call it payment in full gave him his notes

26th I went up & called at Geo. Collinsons on to Moultons Annie & Leslie came in with me was a cold day I took the Grip this eve I spent 15 cts.

27th Andy & Lillie came in this fore-noon I stayed in alday I gave Mary $2.10 she is to get a cwt of Bran was a cold day I wrote to E.E. Johnston & W.A. McNeil

28th stayed around house alday Andy & Lillie went home this afternoon was a cold day

29th It stormed mostly alday & night I paid my dues in C.O.F. for Jan & Feb $2.20 and left $2.85 with Adam Seale to pay my dues for 4 yr in in I.O.O.F T 1/2 yr in the envelop 60 cts for oysters 25 cts for biscuits I gave Mary 25 cts

30th I have to-day noon $17.20 got 20 cts worth of meat it snowed some to-day

31st Annie & Leslie went home this eve I wrote to Morris DeLong 10 cts for stamps gave Annie 50 cts for the honey I got some time ago was a nice day

Feb 1st We went for a drive to-day was a nive day stayed around house mostly alday

2nd R.J. Wilson & I drove out to Wilf Clarks in morn I got a load of straw from Gordon Brown $5.00 Jack L. helped me onload it I helped him in return to get out some sizes for bases Wm Seabrook paid me $20 on note D.L. Jackson gave me $5.00 on his note and agreed to pay me $5.00 between the 1st & 3rd of each month untill balance is paid I cleaned the snow of Veranda went after tea sold 2 ticket to Elmer Harrison $1.00 he owes me for them yet 2 to Rob. McArthur 1.00 one to Mrs Johnny Young 50 cts was a nice day I got 65 cts from Mary to-night 90 cts for oats got a box of condition Powders 50 cts

3rd I got up early left at six came out to E.T.Mainse he paid me in full for Lots by cheque $654.50 I gave him Title on to Seeleys Bay Geo. Gardiner paid me in full for his by cheque $220 & his wife cheque in full for hers $270.00 this is $2.00 more than they come to I gave Geo the $2.00 and I gave Sam J back $12.00 on Lots & $1.00 on Reg. Fees delivered all three titles to Gardiner

I called at Wm G. Brackens he paid me by cheque in full 609.00 & Mrs Bracken paid by cheque in full $303.00 I delivered Titles had dinner at Geo. Cheethams 40 cts got home about four spent 20 cts got a letter from Manford Webster enclosing 2.00 pay in full of account

I got $2.00 from Mary this eve sold 2 tickets to Henry Beeman $1.00 Gave Mary back $3.03 this eve 20 cts for coal oil 25 cts for lantern Globes 50 cts for International stock food Rob G. was in to-day was windy day have left to-night $22.75 cts

4th I went to church in Morn & Eve 30 cts was a cold day we went for a drive

5th I went out to John Kidds sold him 2 ticket $7.00 he owes me for them I drove up the ice to Gillespies sold 2 tickets $1.00 I sold W.J. Nuttall one ticket 50 cts Thos Cockrill one 50 cts I sent F.D Warrren his & J.H. Warren there certificate of Titles for Lots cost 6 cts I paid Walter Martin $1.40 for repair on closet for two weeks ago left him 2 tickets to

sell for me got a cwt of flour $2.85 was a little stormy this morn spent 15 cts this week sometime

6th I got some teeth fixed to day got a damper for furnace 20 cts was a nice day but windy

7th got my teeth finished $3.75 55 cts for tongue for teameeting 10 cts for sausage 10 cts for shave was a stormy fore-noon have Left at noon $15.44 cts I gave Mary $6.00 sold Will Webb 2 tickest 1.00 Walter Martin paid me for 4 tickets $2.00 I left one with Miss Gordon to sell for me

8th sold David Wilson 2 he gave me 65 cts on them & owes me 35 cts yet we went to teameeting this eve took Dora & left Hubert at Wilsons I returned 25 tickets & paid Mr Cox for 25 is $12.50 I drove out to Alex Whites this morn got 224 lbs of

oats paid 5 cts for weighing them they come to $2.63 cts at 40 cts per bu I owe for those paid Miss DeLong $1.00

9th Dave Willows paid Mi{illegible} 35 cts owed on tickets

9th I left about 8 for Seeleys Bay had dinner at Geo Cheethams 70 cts Collinsons paid me 75.00 on Lots I came on out to M.L Coons after four had supper they gave me $115.00 & a cheque for $50.00 pay in full for monument came on out to Gershon Earl he gave me a cheque for $40.00 on McAmmond McGhie job ordered by Dr McAmmond there is $35 owed on it yet was a cold windy day I got to Gaheys Hotel near ten stayed alnight have to night $191.34 cts.

10th I went ove to Robert Smiths sold Mrs Sarah S. Smith Lots 10 & 11 in Blk 11 for $388.00 I am to pay Reg. Fees got to Town about four was a very cold day 15 cts for mutton paid Pat in full 75 cts Mrs Smith gave me $40.00 cash & cheque for $348.00 Paid Dr Bird in full to date $20.00

11th I went to church in Morn 15 cts to S.S. in afternoon 5 cts Minnie went in eve was a cold day

12th I got Mrs Smiths cheque $348.00 cashed left it & $21.07 cts in Mer. Bank got Mrs Coon's cheque for $50.00 cashed & G. Earls for $40.00 I got the cash for those

Deposited $250 in Toronto Bank got a draft for Jas Hutcheson for $103.25 cts Jacob Hutcheon for $103.25 cts Jacob Dillon came in this after noon stayed alnight was a nice day Mr J.A. Jackson & I made arrangements with Morris DeLong about some Lots to sell

This draft I got for Jas Hutcheon $103.25 I drawed $83.25 out of bank & paid $20 out of my pocket Will Carpenter left some oats about 10 bu. at 42 cts a bu.

13th Morris & I started for Lansdowne called at Oscar Landons M. Lappans Geo. Hortons had dinner went in to Geo Johnston for a while back to Chas Hortons in eve then to Lansdowne Morris went home I stayed at Geo. was a lovely day Jacob went home this after noon was a nice day Elmer Harrison paid Minnie the $1.00 he owed me for tickets Rob G. was at our place for dinner 15 cts for telephoning

14th stayed around Lansdowne this fore noon D.A. Haig paid me by cheque balance due on Lots $192.00 had dinner at Geo. paid for Latimer for horse feed about 80 cts came on called at Wm Moultons Rob Storeys on to Dan Hollingsworth had supper called on Jennie Page went to I.O.O.F Lansdowne put in 1st degree Gan 2nd Mr William Moulton paid me in full to-day $4.00 I settled with {illegible} Hollingsworth 75 cts Geo & I got to Ed Earls about three O'Clock in Morn was a nice day I sent Mrs Doggett a letter 2 cts for stamp

15th I got home about Eleven Rob G. was in for dinner I deposited Haid cheque in Mer

Bank $192.50 was a lovely day

16th I wrote to Robt Smith sent him a map of Calgary sent Jas Hutcheon the draft I got for him on Feb 12th 7 cts for stamps have left at noon $11.37 got 5 cts worth of oyster shell 5 cts worth of bone 10 cts worth gravel was a lovely day 15 cts for meat Mr Firman Cross paid me in full to-day $96.00 I spent 20 cts gave Mary 25 cts

17th I got a tone of Coal at Robinsons $7.00 I got 5 cts worth of candy Mr. Beatty & I went to star show I paid our way 20 cts 5 cts for candy I gave DeLong a cheque for $1500 and I took $90 out of Mer Bank & put it Toronto B. Eddie Kenny took his waggon to day was a nice day 15 cts for meat I put 90 in Toronto Bank

18th Mary went to church this morn I gave 15 cts I went S.S. 10 cts & to church in eve was a lovely day Mildred stayed to-night

19th I stayed around alday it started to rain about five O Clock 1 cts for gum have left at six O'Clock $11.01 cts I spent eve at Reese Websters

20th spent 6 cts was a nice day, lent Jack Leeder 50 cts

21st Robt & Annie came in this fore-noon got 3 lbs of Mutton 45 cts oysters 30 cts biscuits 30 cts Rob & I went to show 25 cts it snowed and blowed nearly alday

22nd It was a very stormy day snowed & blowed & was very rough

I gave Mary 50 cts

23rd We went through Jonses O Gibsons shops got 1 lb of pork & 1/2 lb sausage 22 cts $1.00 for sugar 30 cts for tea Rob & I went to both shows 10 cts to-night it snowed some

24th I spent 35 cts paid Will Carpener for oats $4.75 he said he left me 10 bu 30 lbs They were to be 42 cts per bu. which figures out $4.55 cts I paid him 20 cts to much was a nice day Rob & Annie went home this after noon Morris sold two lots to C.A. McNeil I spent 25 cts this week some time have left to-night $1.62

25th Mary went to church this eve I went in morn 15 cts to S.S. in after noon 5 cts was a cold day

26th was a cold day started to storm this after noon I went to Lodge in eve 25 cts for a ticket for Canton's Concert tomorrow night

27th It stormed some to-day I went to concert this eve in Palace

28th I drove out to Henry Peloros in morn got 1 bu of wheat for hens $1.10 I drawed $20.00 out of G.B. we got ready I came out Mothers left Mary & children at Moultons was a cold day

29th I lost my mits & took Jims he got his wood sawed to-day I had dinner at Jacobs on to Lyndhurst stayed around there all the after-noon & came up to Rob G. this eve stayed alnight was a nice day but cold

Mar 1st I went to Elgin Lillie went with me stayed there nearly alday 60 cts for dinner I went in to Thos. Glovers had supper at Andys Lillie came home with me came on up to Ross G. got Alice & children went in W.G. Earls for a while Mary & Annie came over to-day was a nice day I stayed at Ross G. to-night gave Teddy 5 cts

2nd I went up to Jos. Stantons back to Ross G. had dinner we came home was a nice day, have left to-night $19.42.cts

3rd I went to church in morn 15 cts to S.S. 5 cts was a cold day Mary went to church in eve

4th got 3 lbs of prunes 30 5 lbs of beans 25 cts 5 lbs or rice 25 cts was a nice day I drove up to Thos. Maxwell in afternoon

5th I went out to Wesley Stolikers sale in after noon Eddie Scott went with me had a runaway 15 cts for harness repairs was a nice day. I gave Mary $5.00 paid for journal $1.00 have left to-night 12.20 cts

6th I went down to Geo this after-noon Geo. & I went down to Robert Pool's after tea &

back to Geo. again was a nice day

7th I settled with Latimers for horse feed 70 cts came to Lyn this fore-noon had dinner at Geo. Pergau gave the kids 15 cts 25 cts for horse feed came back to Mallorytown this eve had tea at Mrs Lee's with Jennie Page sold her 2 Lots to her $600 stayed at Tennants was a lovely day

8th I came out to R.A. Foleys for dinner settled with Geo {illegible} $1.25 got home about five O'Clock called at Mrs Cornetts this eve seen W.J. Nuttall about a mon. D.L. Jackson left $3.00 in P.O. for me

9th I got Jennie's cheque to my Credit $600 cost 60 cts got some Groceries 80 cts Will Carpenter gave me 20 cts due me on over pay on oats

10th I went to church in morn 15 cts we went for drive in afternoon I went to Horners meeting for a while in eve 10 cts

11th I got up early went down to Jas. Patience sold Mrs Patience a mon for $50 for a Hockey bag was home for dinner went to Lodge in eve

12th I stayed around town alday called on W.J. Nuttall in eve he told me to go ahead with $200.00 job Des No. 693 Wallace Collison was in gave me a cheque for $1055 cost me 65 cts to get it put to my credit

13th I went out M Shortall's in after-noon called at Hunters for tea got home about eleven to-night was a nice day

got a Tone of oats $7.00 spent 10 cts

14th sold a Lot to Mrs M.J Cornett $285 and to Mrs D A Haig $285.00 gave Morris an agreement $1170.00 got a draft for him $1.00 cts was a nice day I came down to Wm Moultons after tea 50 cts to Mary Mildred came this eve This $1.00 is to be charged to Morris DeLong gave Marjorie 5 cts

15th I came over to Will Websters had dinner came on called on Sam Johnston & John Bulgers up to home about six was a very stormy day snow & rain

16th I gave Mildred 1.00 took 12.00 out of T.B got $2.26 cts for groceries boots & rubbers $.00 was a nice day. Mildred went home this after-noon have left to-night $7.60 cts

17th We got ready went out to R. Moultons & spent the day was a nice day

18th stayed around town alday was a nice day went to Lodge this eve Morris DeLong gave me E.E.Johnstons cheque for $101.50 due on Lots on the 15th of March 25 cts for poultry food gave Dora 1 cts 10 cts to Mr Beatty for board {illegible}

19th I got Johnston cheque cashed left 76.50 of it in Toronto bank came out to Jim's this eve was a nice day Jim & I spent eve at Wm Leadbeaters 55 cts for a cap to-day

20th I came to Lyndhurst had dinner at Mr Browns 65 cts I sold Joseph M. Somerville 3 Lots 19,20, 21 in Blk 4 in Sub. Div. Deer Lodge Park for $900 rec cash cheque for 400 Balance due $500 by Apr. 1st 1912 came on to Delta

this eve spent with Rob Howard 15 cts for hair cut was a nice day with a cool wind I wrote from Lyndhurst to J.A. Jackson 3 cts for stamp & paper have left to-night 30.81 cts. It snowed some to-night

21st It snowed & blowed alday I left Delta about three O'Clock settled at hotel 2.50 came on to R. Moultons stayed alnight

22nd I went up to Seeleys Bay sold John A. Steacy Lot 3 in Blk 4 Sub Div Deer Lodge Park price $285 rec cash $50 balance of $235 due in June had dinner at Geo. Cheethams 70 cts came on down to H. Lillies then in home was a nice day stormed some in morn

23rd I got Jos. M. Somervilles cheque cashed $1000 cost 40 ct left it and $50 cash in bank 30 cts for oysters 10 cts for candy 20 cts for show Ross & I went he & Alice came in this after-noon Wm. J Nuttall said he thought he would take a Lot was a nice day I gave Marjorie Wilson 10 cts 15 cts for meat

24th Ross & Alice went home this afternoon Mary went to church I gave her 10 cts was a nice day

25th I gave Chas. A. McNeil His Titles for Lots No in Sub Div 4 D.L.P. he paid me Reg. Taxs on all 8 Lots $15.00 was a nice day had

left to-night 41.21 cts at five O'Clock went to Lodge this eve paid my dues $1.75 to July 1st and 25 cts for a ticket on Hugh McFaddens boat

26th I wrote a card to Mrs Rob. Smith a letter to A Lamont of Calgary John B. Robinson's Funeral was to-day it started to snow about three O'Clock and was very windy Mr Wm. J. Nuttall signed order for monument this eve

28th I went down paid my dues in I.O.F to May 1st $2.20 got ready came out to Elgin this after-noon had supper at Robert Smiths feed horse at Pats 25 cts came back to Wm Morris stayed alnight was a nice day

28th called on Herb Kirkland on to Lyndhurst Mr Jas. M. Somerville paid me balance on Lots $500 came to Jacob's for dinner on to Moultons for tea and home this eve went over to a congregational meeting at church to-night was a cloudy day with a little rain in Morn

30th Jack Thomson & Alex Clark helped me fix pump I spent 15 cts 50 cts for sugar 20 cts for coal oil was a nice day but cold I put $500 in T.B. to-day have left to-night $35.41

31st I went to church in morn & eve 15 cts was a cool day rained some in after-noon

Apr. 2nd I paid John Leeder in full for work done for Bill Gibson on Coon & McGhie jobs & the two Marker jobs Humphrey & Atwood $ 24.10 cts Jack paid me 50 cts he owed me got some groceries $1.60 got Pat Fodey to fix my horses mouth 50 cts got a 1 cwt of provinder $1.50 & 1 bag of wheat $1.10 & 1/2 bu of corn 4 cts Morris DeLong & I sold Wm. J Nuttall one Lot No. 31 for $285.00 we called on Thos. Hill this eve was a cold day I gave Phillis Thomson 10 cts

3rd I gave A.M. DeLong a cheque for $1185.00 this morn got 3 lbs of fish 30 cts I have left at noon $5.51 cts I went out to Geo Sly's this after-noon stayed a R Moultons to-night Morris & Mr Jackson sold Mrs Dave Wilson 4 Lots & Mrs Jas. Rogers 4 Lots 10 cts for candies They sold Thos. Hill 3 Lots spent 20 cts {illegible}

4th Mr. Jackson settled & I settled in full with Morris DeLong there was $66.60 cts Int due him I gave him a cheque for 86.60 cts & Mr. Jackson gave him one for $20 this is to leave us half of what is still owed and half of what is to be sold $1.00 for two ticket for show on the 16th

Morris & I called on Mrs Singleton & Mrs H. Waldie 30 cts for oranges & banas

5th I went to church in morn 25 cts wrote to Mary, Mrs McAnnond & Leonard Earl 6 cts for stamps 15 cts for buns

6th I have left this morn $3.40 got 1 lb of mutton 15 cts gave Dora 1 cts 10 cs for cigaretts

7th I went to church in morn gave 50 cts I gave Mary 5 cts It rained nearly alday Mary went to church in eve it turned cold & froze to-night found 10 cts in an old pair of overalls

8ths was a cold day I went to both shows in eve 20 cts

9th I drove up to W.B. Cemetry this fore-noon Mr. D.L. Jackson paid me $3.00 on note to-day it snowed nearly alday have left at five O'Clock $5.49 I gave Mary 4 cts she & Dora went to Bazar in Eng church this eve

10th I drove out in after-noon to see Geo. W. Abrams farm went to a vestry meeting in church to-night was a nice day

11th stayed around home untill eve then went down to Geo. he & I drove out to Wm Moulton's a back I stayed over night with him was a nice day I wrote 3 letters 12 cts for stamps

12th I canvased John R. Foley called on Hillyard to Frank Warren

Jos. Latimer said he would give me $115.00 for my horse I am to let him know Monday or Tuesday if he can have him I settled with Joe 75 cts came out to Wm Moultons we hitched my horse with one of his double to try it I stayed alnight was a nice day 2 cts for a led pencil

13th I took his mare came home this morn seen Dr. DeLong I get a rig from N.A. Webster we came to Lansdowne this after noon called on Erastus E.Warren & wife this eve I gave Borden 5 cts 75 cts for supper & horse feed got home about ten paid Webster $1.50 10 cts for shave at F.Warrens I gave Eddie Kenny $100 for syrup he gave it back to Mary

14th I went to church in morn 20 cts there was confirmation it rained some this morn Mary went this eve S. Steacy & I drove up to W.B Cemetry in after noon

Dear Morris I received your telegram yesterday & started out this after-noon to try my luck & got as far as this place but have not sold any yet but hop to get them sold this week & will wire you as soon as I do sell them. I am enclosing some more of the names that the titles are to be made out for it may be that I have sent you some of those in my last letter & I will not be able to tell till I get home but any how you will no how to fix them up & true & get it done soon Morris for the time is up for mostly all of them to be deliverd Jarainse was in on Saturday but said he was not to pay it till he got his title so Collinsons are the only ones that are to before the titles are given so I will not be able to send you the balance due you till they pay me. They said last week that they thought they could pay the balance this week but it is not due till Feb 1st. at least they have till then to pay it according to the receipt we left them I am tied up till I get some from some of them & cannot send the balance till Collinson pay up unless I borrow it which I do not want to do it there is any way out of it I will see them to-morrow & will write you again Thursday or Friday when I get home following are the names with Kind regard & Best Wishes Joseph Dillon
