Jan 1. . Fri. There was a shooting contest Friday here & an oyster supper. Mama & Laura went up to Grandma's Henry had the jaundice.

Jan 2. - Mr Wm. Ross died.

Jan. 3 - Mr. Wright. Prescott preached here in the evening.

Jan 4 - Ellection Day. Mrs. Dave Perrin & sisters came here. Choir practice here at night. Mason's night.

Jan. 5 - Mr. Wm Ross was buried. Rainy & sloppy. Mama went up to Mrs. Wrights after dinner.

Jan. 10 - Sunday Anna & Willard & Howard came up in the morning. I kept Howard & the rest went to church in the afternoon.

Jan. 11 - Monday - Geo Philip's arrived

Jan. 12 - Tuesday Papa took George

Jan. 13 - Wednesday We started a fire in our coal-stove. Mama went to the Ladies Aid + Mary Easton came down here. Uncle Horace came down this P.M.

Jan. 14 - Thur. - Mama went up to Mrs. Wright's.

Jan. 15. - Fri - Papa & Mama went into Uncle Hugh's in the morning & I went down to Annie's in the afternoon & stayed for choir practise.

Jan 16. - Sat - Was very cold & Henry went to town after dinner.

Jan. 17 - Sun - No church here as Anniversary services were held at Manhand.

Jan. 18 - Mon - Jean came up & gave me a lesson. It was very cold.

Jan. 19 - Tuesday Practise for Mrs. Beattie's concert at Mr. Kyle's. We did not go as it was so stormy. Mrs. Wm. Newel, Algonquin, died to-night.

Jan. 20 - Wednesday It was a lovely warm day. Mrs. H. Everetts & Mrs. Pearson came up & Aunt Lib stayed up. Papa took lame back yesterday. Mason's Lodge to-night. Mr. Walker came down.

Jan. 21 - Thursday Elsie Hyne & children came out, Elsie & Hyne went to town. Mrs. Beattie Sr. was here for tea. Aunt Lib Pearson & I went over to Laura's after tea. Papa & Henry were unloading a car of grain in town.

Jan. 22 - Friday - Aunt Lib went to Mr. Geordie Landon's. John George was here for dinner. Henry & I went over to practice at Mr. Wm. Kyle's. It rained all

Jan. 23. - Sat. - It has rained all day. Mr. Lockwood came down this afternoon. Papa went down to John Waltson's to-night. Henry went down for the mail.

Jan. 24. - Sun. There was quite a thunder storm 3 p.m. We went to church in the afternoon.

Jan. 25. - Mon. Jean came up + gave me a lesson. We went to practise at Mr. Kyle's in the evening.

Jan. 26. - Tues. Went up to grandma Manhardt's after dinner. Cheese meeting was held in the Mason's Hall. Floerena Manhard was here in the evening. Mrs. {Jno.} Walton was here also. It was a lovely bright night.

Jan. 27. - Wed. - It has been a stormy day. Mr. Meyer was here for tea. There was is a meeting at Bethel Church to-night to arrange for the Anniversary Social.

Jan. 28. - Thur. - It has been a nice bright day. Papa went to town this afternoon. + he + John Walton went out to Algonquin to-night + mama + I were alone. I had my hair washed to-day.

Jan. 29. - Fri. - It was quite stormy but cleared off at night. Went to practise at Mr. Kyle's. To

Jan. 30. - Sat. - Stormy. Choir practise here at night. Johnie Beattie was here in the afternoon.

Jan. 31. - Sun. - Bright + cold. We went to church at night.

Jan. 31. - Mon - We washed. Took my lesson this afternoon. Went to concert practise at Mr. Kyle's. Laura was over this p.m.

Feb. 1st - Mon. We washed. Took my lesson this afternoon. Laura was over this p.m. Went to concert practise at Mr. Kyle's.

Feb. 2. - Tues. - Mama put on a quilt. I ironed. Papa & Henry drove the colt. There was a pedler here this p.m.

Feb. 3. - Wed. - It has been a lovely day. Annie, Howard & Mrs. Warner were came up & stayed all day. They helped Mama quilt. George Philips's came out from Sheppard's this p.m. The girls went to Mrs. Alex Landon's this p.m. to make their sunbonnets for the concert. I went also. Got a letter from Elva McGarrity to-night.

Feb. 4 - Thur. - George, papa + Henry drove the cold this p.m. Aunt Vic called this p.m. I painted my little chest. Went to concert practice at Mr. Kyle's. Laura was over 4 p.m. Was talking to Lillian Wanhills, Prescott this P.M.

Feb. 5 - Fri. - We had a cow die this noon. John Walton Johnie Beattie + Mr. P. Bissell were here for dinner. George went down to Annie's this a.m. + mama + papa went down for him in the evening. We cleaned + decorated the Temperance Hall for the concert this p.m. Choir practise here this evening. Warm.

Feb. 6 - Sat. - warm + quite sloppy. Papa went to town this A.M. + out to Algonquin this p.m. Laura was over 4 p.m. Car of grain arrived in Brockville to-night at noon-

Feb. 7. - Sun. - Papa + mama went to Algonquin after dinner. Annie Wellard, Mary + little Howard came up. We all went to church p.m. in the afternoon 3 p.m. + Annie + Howard stayed here.

Feb. 8. - Mon. - We washed. Mama went up to Mrs. Wright's + I took my lesson. I went down to Annie's 3 p.m. + stayed for tea + went to the hall for concert practise. Recieved a letter from Luella Daniels. Mason's night. Unloading the car. Mrs. Beattie gave me a pretty brooch.

Feb. 9. - Tues. - Papa + Henry were in town unloading the car of grain. Mama went out

{continued from last page} to Elsie's as Elsie has the jaundice. I have been all alone. Laura came over this p.m. Mama phoned to me. P.M.

Feb. 10. - Wed. - Stormed all forenoon. John Walton was here this A.M. The men finished unloading the care this P.M. Concert practise in the hall to-night. Mama phoned me this p.m.

Feb. 11. - Thur. - I swept + dusted up stairs to-today. Mama phoned me this p.m. + said Elsie was not any better. I am keeping house alone these days.

Feb. 12. Fri. - We all went to the concert at night, given by the "South Augusta Glee Club.' in aid of Mrs. Wm. Ross. Nearly $100.00 was raised by selling tickets. All the young people on the 3rd took part. Mama phoned me in the afternoon. Elsie was not much better. Papa + Henry went to town in the morning.

Feb. 13. - Sat. - Papa went to town this A.M. I have been busy cooking + doing the Saturday's work. Went over to Laura's after tea. Elsie was some better. Mama phoned me.

Feb. 14. - Sun. Mr. + Mrs. Jesse Easton called in + gave papa the proceeds from the concert to keep for Mrs. Ross. Henry went down to the post office. I received a letter post card from Mary Warner.

Feb. 14. - Sun. - There was no church here this evening as it was

{continued from last page} so stormy. Two young men + two girls stopped at our place about 8:30 p.m. as the horse was tired out. Mama came home this p.m.

Feb. 15 - Mon. - We washed for Elsie this morning + Hyne came out for me this afternoon. Elsie was some better.

Feb. 16. - Tues. - It is still storming + drifting but cleared up in the night. I went over to Mr. Dawson's + phoned out home.

Feb. 17. - Wed. - Went over to Mr. Dawson's 12.30 p.m. + phoned out home. Ethel + Charlie went with me. It has been a lovely bright day. Elsie is gaining splendidly. I sugared off this evening.

Feb. 18. - Thur. - Elsie is on the gain. Went over to Mr. Dawson's + phoned out home 12.30: Annie, + Howard came up home this morning & stayed all night. Mrs. {Jns.} Beattie Jr. + Willie Simpson came up to-night.

Feb. 19. - Fri- - Elsie is a great deal better. Hyne brought me home this morning. It has been a nice dawm day 1 has been thawing. It started to rain about 4.30 + rained quite hard all night. so Annie + Howard has to stay all night. Warner's went to Lyn to play for the Oddfellows "At Home". Papa + Mr. Wm. Kyle each brought a load of ice this p.m. + put it in Mr. Kyle's shed.

{continued from last page} Mr. Kyle's sister Mrs. Beverage who has been visiting at Mr. Kyle's has been very ill threatened with typhoid fever is on the gain.

Feb. 20. - Sat. - Mama cooked pies for the social. Annie + Howard were here all day but went home at night after choir practice. Willard + {Melville} Corbett were here for tea. Choir practise here in the evening. Papa + Mr. Kyle drew another load of ice this p.m. Papa went down to John Walton's this evening.

Feb. 21. - Sun. - Hyne + Charlie came out + went home after dinner. Mr. Earnest Thomas, Merrickville, preached the Anniversary services this afternoon + evening. We went to church this afternoon. Willard + {Melville} + Mr. J. Washer played the instruments for both services. Mrs. Jas Simpson, Miss Christina Beyers, Mrs. {Jno} Warner + Mary Warner were here for tea. We all went to church in the evening.

Feb. 22. - Mon. - We cooked this morning + went to the hall 3. p.m. to set tables etc. for the Anniversary social. The programme consisted of Speeches by Mr. Meyer, Mr. Thomas, + Mis. Clifford gave a talk on her trip to Rome; Warner's orchestra + music by the choir.

{continued from last page} Mr. Will Barton was taken sick at the social + the following day. the doctor pronounced it appenticatis. The proceeds from the social were $27.00 dear.

Feb. 23. - Tues. - We went to the hall + washed the dishes etc. Papa went to town this p.m. It started to snow + rain to-tegether about 5 p.m. so we could not go down to Warner's to skate this evening.

Feb. 25. - Thur - Papa went to Freeland's sale after dinner + I went down to Annie's + we went skating after tea Henry came down. There was about 12 there.

Feb. 26 - Fri - papa went to Mr. Braden Biesell's sale + mama went down to Mrs. Jas. Simpson's. It is a lovely day. I swept the chamber. Mr. Warner took us to choiur practise at Mabel Shaver's.

Feb. 27 - Sat. - Theodore Shipman came out this afternoon. Henry went to town this p.m. + brought George Philip's home with him. We all went down to Warner's to skate in the evening.

Feb. 28. - Sun. - Wesley Tottin & Mr. Thomas Johnston came here this a.m + stayed till 4 p.m. Hyne came out after dinner + George Philips' went out to Sheppard's

March 1 - Mon - Mary Warner helped me trim my box for the box-social. also we trimmed Mrs. Ralph Bishop's box. Mrs. R. Bishops brother, Willie Barton is much better to-day + was able to sit up all the afternoon. Mrs. Bishop is down there. Jean gave me a lesson this p-m. Mary went home with Jean about 4. p.m. Mr. + Mrs. Phlander Barton came up this Eve.

March 2 - Tues. - We washed this a.m. Uncle Horace came down this p.m. Henry went down to Lord's Mills to-night to a concert. Mr. Seaman Wright took

March 3. Wed. - Went down to Warner's this a.m. also up to Mrs. R. Bishop's this p.m. to exhance cooking for our boxes. Mary Warner came up 2.30 p.m. + went to the box social with us. Jean Robertson came up 6 p.m. to go to the social + stayed here all night. Went to the Mason's Box Social at night. Mr. Howard Francis got my box.

March 4. - Thur. - Mr. Robertson came up for Jean this morning. I went up to the hall this morning. Papa took the piano in town. George Philips came here 6:30 p.m. It it qutie stormy.

March 6. - Fri. - Papa, George, + I went down to Warner's this p.m. Papa took George in town after dinner + I stayed for choir practise there at night. Mrs.Warnet made my underwaists for me. It is a lovely sunny day.

March 6. - Sat. - We have a sick cow + Mr. T. Johnston was here for dinner. George Philips started for Toronto 1.30 a.m. + intended staying in Toronto over Sunday. It is a beautiful day. Henry went to the post-office to-night. Pearl Wales telephone to mama 10.30 p.m. to have some music but I was in bed.

March 7. - Sun. - Mr. T. Johnston was here for dinner. Our cow is not much better. Elsie, Hyne + children came out this p.m + stayed for tea. I went to church this p.m. A student from St. Albans's School preached in St. George's church this evening.

March 8. - Mon. - We washed this a.m. papa helped Wm. Read break his colts to-day. I took my lesson this p.m. This is Mason's night. Dr. Johnston came here 8.30 p.m. + I went over to the Hall for papa.

March 9. - Tues. - Dr. Johnston stayed all night. Laura was over this a.m. I went down to John Walton's for milk this a.m. There is a parlor Social at the parsonage, Algonquin, to-night. Our cow died to-night.

March 10 - Wed. - Dr. Johnston went home this a.m. ladie's Aid was here this p,m. Mr. + Corbett; Mr. + Mrs. Bissel; Mr. + Mrs. Bishop + Ruby; Mrs. Lockwood, Mrs. G. Dudley, Nellie Caldwell, Mr. + Mrs. {D} Wells + {Durian}; Mrs.. Meyer + Minnie Throop were present at it. Mr. Rob Steward Sr. gave a reception for Flora to-night.

March 11. - Thur. - Mr. Ralph Bishop + papaa went to Mr. Wm. Revell's sale this p.m. I went down to the store.

March 12. - Fri. - Papa + Henry went down the road + brought Annie ^+ Howard up this a.m. Elsie Hyne, + children were here for dinner + went to town after dinner. Mrs. [Jno] Walker, + Mrs. Hillward Walker came down this p.m. Mrs. [Jno] Tousley + Mrs. Chas. Simpson were here this p.m. also. mama went over to Laura's after tea.

March 13. - Sat. - I went down to the post-office after tea + stopped at Mrs. Beattie's. Mr. + Mrs. Robt. Woods came down to Mrs. Beattie's to-night. Papa is down there also. Mama + I are all alone. Electa Bissell telephone to-night + asked me up to-morrow afternoon for tea.

March 14. - Sun. - Wrote a letter to Luella Daniels this a.n. Went up to Electa's this p.m. + came down to church this evening. Annie + Willard went in to Aunt Jane Newell's this p.m.

March 15. - Mon. - We washed this a.m. Elsie + Wyne went to town this a.m. + left the children here. Jean gave me a lesson this p.m. I have been working on my underwaise this evening. laura was over a little while to-night.

March. 16. - Tues. - Papa + Henry went to town this a.m. + mama + Mrs. Jas. Simpson went over to Mrs. Jno. Corbett's. I am all alone. I made a cake after dinner + practised my music lesson all this p.m. Mrs. Warner + Annie went to town this p.m. I got my embroidery hat from Eaton's. Toronto to-night. Etta Bissell had a little birthday-party this p.m.

March 17. - Wed. - Mama put Elsie's quilt on this a.m. + I ironed. Henry helped Mr. R. Bushop kill pigs this a.n. Mrs. Beattie + John went to North Augusta to the Masons. At Home to-night. Henry is staying all night with Mrs. Beattie Sr. + will do the chores for them. I am working on my underwaise thie Evening. Recieved a St. Patrick's post-card from Elisa McGanity to-night.

March 18. - Thur. - I did my Friday's work to-day. Mrs. R. Bishop + I were talking to Elsie + Minnie Throop at Mrs. Uriah Bishopŝ this afternoon. I have been working on my underwaist. Laura was over 4 p.m. also Mr. Jno. Walker was down. Mama went up to Mrs. Walker's 5.30 p.m.

March 19. - Fri. - It is a lovely morning. Laura + I went up to Grandma Manhard's this a.m. + Laura + Aunt went to town. I stayed

March 20. - Sat. - It is a nice morning. Papa went to town this a.m. We have been busy cooking. Ollie McNish came here to-night + stayed all night.

March 21. - Sun. - Went to church this afternoon. Annie, Willard, Little Howard + Mary were here for tea. Also Elsie + Hyne + children Mrs J. Beattie Jr. came up 6.30 p.m. for a book to read. Had a chat with Mrs. R. Bishop + Nellie Caldwell this evening.

March. 22. - Mon. - It has been a lovely bright day which means "An early Spring." so they say. ^ March 22 Took my lesson this p.m. Mrs. Jno. Walker was down to-night. I was over to Laura's a little while. Mama took the quilt off this p.m. We killed two pigs this pm.

March 23. - Tues. - Mr + Mrs. H. Lockwood + mama went down to Annie's this a.m. They got home about 5. p.m. I swept + dusted the parlor to-day. Was talking to Aunt Lib Pearson at Mr. Gus. Whitney's. Henry clipped Mr. P. Bissells "old Fred" this pm.m

March 24. - Wed. - Papa + Mr. Kyle went to the saw mill at Algonquin for a load of saw-dust this a.m.

March 25 - Thur. - It has rained all day. but it is snowing some now to-night. Warner's + Mr. Bishop's are at Mrs. Jno. Beattie's to-night. to a for tea.

March 26. - Fri. - It is a stormy day. I sweept the chamber this a.m. Papa + Henry killed 2 pigs this p.m. It has cleared off to-night. Willard took us all to Mrs. W. Wood's for choir practise.

March 27 - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. The men clipped a horse for Mr. P. Bissel this p.m. It has been a stormy afternoon.

March 28 - Sun. I laid down this p.m. + mama went over to Laura's a little while. Went to church this Eve. Annie + Willard came in after church. Mr. Brock Cowan came down for mama as Grandma had a poor spell. Mama went up + stayed.

March 29 - Mon. - Papa went up for mama this p.m. + we churned this p.m. I took a lesson this p.m.

March 30. Tues. - We washed this a.m. Papa Henry helped Mr. Jns. Corbett saw this morning. I went down to Annie's this p.m + started my embroidery hat. I worked at it this Eve.

March 31. - Wed. - Papa ^put a new back in our stove this a.m. Mama went up to Mr. Walker's this p.m. They are boiling for the first to-day. Henry has been down helping John Beattie chop wood. papa took down the boards in the wood-shed this p.m. + I straightened the shed.

April 1. - Thur - Mr. R. Bishop april-fooled me this morning. I went up to Mr. Jno. Walker's this p.m. + Mama + I went down to Mr. F. Barton's to-night for sugar. Has my last cutter ride to-night.

April 2. - Fri. - Papa went to down this a.m. Papa + I went out to Elsie's this p.m.

April 3 - Sat - It has been a lovely day. Papa + Henry went away looking for to buy a cow but did not get any. Choir practise was here to-night.

April 4 - Sun. Went to church this p.m Rather Meyer came here for tea.

April 5 - Mon. - Went up to Mr. Jno. Walkers after dinner. Took my lesson this p.m.

April 6 - Tues. Mr. + Mrs. H. Lockwood were here for dinner. It rained this p.m. + eve. Henry went to the post-office this Eve.

April 7 - Wed. We churned this a.m. The men clipped Laura's horse this a.m. Gordon Walker was down in the evening.

April 8. - Thur. - Henry helped Johny Beattie split wood all day. Papa went to town this a.m. Nellie Caldwell came down this p.m. I have been working on my hat. Mr. Lockwood was down this a.m. Henry went to the office this Eve.

April 9 - Fri. - I swept + dusted the chamber this a.m. Annie + Howard came up this a.m. + stayed for choir practise this Eve. Mrs. R. Bishop came down this p.m. Choir practise here this Eve.

April 10. - Mama + I went up to Mrs. Lockwood's this Eve. Mrs. R. Bishop, Mrs. U. Bishop + [Rubry] were there also. Henry went to the Rifle Association meeting to-night. I received 3 Easter pestals to-night.

April 11. Sun. - "Easter Sunday"- Willard + Annie, Little Howard Elsie, Hyne + children came this a.m. + stayed all day. Papa.

April 12. - Mon - We churned + cleaned the kitchen pipes this a.m. Aunt Annie Manhard came down this a.m. + stayed for dinner. Papa + Fred Warner went away looking for 2 cows this p.m. but did not buy any.

April 13. - Tues. - We washed this a.m. Electa Bissell came down this p.mm. Papa + Henry went out to Fairfield + bought 2 cows from Mr. W. McDougald. It has been a terrible windy day + is raining to-night.

April 14 - Wed - Mama went to the Ladie's Aid this p.m. at Mrs. A. P. Bissell's. I went down to Mrs. Beattie's this p.m. + up to Mr. Bissell's this Eve.

April 15 . Thur. - Papa + mama went to market this a.m. Mary Easton, Myrtle Mylks + I went to Nellie Caldwell's this p.m. I went to choir practise at the church this Eve. Mary Warner stayed here all night.

April 16. - Fri. - I ironed this a.m. We washed the dishes at the hall after dinner.

April 17 - Sat. - Elsie + Hyne went to town this p.m. + left the children here. They came back here + stayed all night.

April 18. - Sun. - Went to church this p.m. Elsie + Hyne went home after tea.

April 19. - Mon. - It has been a rainy day. We started to clean the closets upstairs to-day. Myrtle Spicer died this a.m.

April 20. - Tues - We churned this a.m. + I took a pail of butter-milk up to Mrs. Orr. I finished cleaning the closets to-day. Johnie Beattie was here this Eve. Willard [Kinkley] died this a.m.

April 21. - Wed. - We washed this a.m. Mr. Wm. [Collier] + A Mr. Squeer were here for dinner. Laura was over after tea. Willard was here to-night. Myrtle Spicer was buried 1.30 p.m. Mrs. [G.] Smith who was taken outof the vault. Prescott was buried to-day at Manhard's.

April 22 - Thur - Papa + Mama went up to Grandma Manhard's this a.m. Mr. T. Johnston was here for tea. I went out to milk to-night. Willard + Henry went to town to-night.

April 23. - Fri. - Mama + papa went to town this a.m. Mama went up to see Willard [Kinkley]. Choir practise at the church this Eve. Hyne came out + they clipped his horse this Eve. James Bissell was operated for appentictis to-night.

April 24. - Sat. - Laura + I went up to Mrs. S. Wright's to-night.

April 25. - Sun. - Olive + Sarah McNish were here for dinner. Mama went down with them to Mrs. Beattie's + to Read's Cemetery this p.m. Papa 1 I went to church to-night. There was just 14 present. James Bissell has the pneumonia [bad] the appenticitis but is getting along nicely. Walter [theu] was taken to the asylum this a.m. as he is insane.

April 26. - Mon. - We churned this a.m. + I took Mrs. Beattie some buttermilk. Laura + I went up to Grandma's this p.n. + I also collected missionary money.

April 27. - Tues. - We washed this a.m. I went up to Mrs. S. Wright's this p.m. to get my dress fitted. James Bissell was quite bad to-night. Mr. + Mrs. Bissell are staying all night with him. Laura was over this Eve.

April 28. - Wed. - Mama went up to Mr. Walker's this p.m. + I went up to Mr. Bishop's to change a setting of eggs. We set a hen to-night.

April 29. - Thur. - James Bissell died 2.30 this morning. Mama + I swept the church this p.m: Henry went to town to-night. Papa went up to Mr. P. Bissell's to-night. They brought the corpse out 8 p.m. Mr Sheridan is the undertaker. Papa + Floyd Bissell stayed there all night. I got a new pair of shoes.

M April 30. - Fri. - Mama went up to Mr. Bissel's this p.m. Mary W. came up + she + I went up also. Choir practise here to-night.

May 1. - Sat. - I dusted the church this a.m. James was buried this p.m. I went down to Mrs. Beattie's to- [illegible]. It was a rainy day.

May 2. - Sun. - It is very cold to-day. Had a snow squall this a.m. Papa Henry + I went to church this p.m. Elsie, Hyne + children came out this p.m. I wrote to Elva this Eve.

May 3. - Mon. - It rained this p.m. Papa went to town. p.m. This is Mason's night. Mama + I are alone.

May 4. - Tues. - Mama went up to Mr. R. Bishop's this a.m. + stayed with the two Mrs. Bishop's as they

[continued from last page] are in bed with la gripp. I finished my hat this p.m. I started my collar + cuffs this p.m.

May 5. - Wed. - I took mrs. Beattie some butter-milk this a.m. Mama went down to Mrs. Beattie's this Eve.

May 6 - Thur. - Papa + I went to market this a.m. I went up to Mrs. Bishop's for a-getting of eggs this pm.m We set two hens to-day.

May 7. Fri. - It has rained all day. Annie, Mary + Howard came up this p.m. + stayed for tea.

May 8. - Sat. - Papa went to market this a.m. + for feed this p.m. We sold our rags to-day. Had a bon-fire to-night.

May 9. - Sun. - Mama went up to Mr. Lockwood's this p.m. Elsie Hyne + children came out this p.m. Mary Warner came up also. I played the organ at church to-night as Mary has a pain in her side. There was a thunder storm during church this Eve.

May 10. - Mon - We washed this a.m. Willard came up this p.m. It has rained all day.

May 11 - Tues. - It rained this a.m. but cleared up near noon. Mama went up to Mr. Walkers this p.m. + put [unintelligible] oour clothes out when she came home. Jean was here to-night for a music book of mine. I was over to Mr. Knapp's before dark. Mrs. H. Daniels, Prescott, died 2. p.m. Jean was here this Eve for one of my music books.

May 12. - Wed. - We churned this a.m. + I took Mrs. Beattie some buttermilk. Papa went to Algonquin this a.m. for [sud] potatoes. Mama went to the Ladie's Aid this pm.m + I raked the yard. Received a card from Luella Daniels this Eve about her mother's death. I sowed sweet-peas to-day.

May 13. - Thur. - Annie, Henry + I went to the funeral. We left here at 11. a.m. Arrived [at in] Prescott 12.30. Funeral was 2. p.m. at the church + then to the Blue Church Cemetery. We got home 5.15 p.m.

May 14. - Fri. - We ironed this a.m. I went down to Annie's this p.n. Choir practise at the church this Eve. Theodore Shipman came out to-day. May 15. Sat. - Mrs. Warner took Mary to Dr. Jones Prescott to-day + he advised her to have an operation as soon as possible.

May 15. - Sat. - Theodore + Laura were over this p.m. Henry went to town this Eve.

May 16. - Sun. - Theodore was over this a.m. Went to church this p.m. I played the organ. Elsie + Hyne + children came out this p.m. Mr. + Mrs. Walker came down this Eve.

May 17. - Mon. - We cleaned the spare bed-room to-day. Mrs. Warner took Mary to the hospital to-day.

May 18 - Tues. - We cleaned my room to-day. Henry, John Walton + Johnie Beattie went fishing to-day. Henry + I went up to Grandma's to-night. Mr. S. Mylkes died to-night.

May 19. - Wed. - We cleaned the hall upstairs to-day. Was up to Mrs. Orr's this Eve.

May 20. - Thur. - We washed to-day. Dusted + draped the church this p.m. Mabel Shaver + Willie McCoy came over for choir practise. No one else came. It rained to-night.

May. 21. - Fri. - We went to Mr. Mylks' funeral 10 a.m. I played the organ. Mrs. Jas. Throop + Miss Everetts were here for dinner. I raked this p.m. Leonard Easton came down for some [catala] trees this Eve.

May 22. - Sat. - I took Mrs. Orr some buttermilk this a.n. I went to town to-night with Henry to see Mary Warner. She is able to sit up + is coming home Monday. Was back to Aunt Jane Newell's.

May 23. - Sun. - Annir, Willard + Howard came up this a.n. Elsie, Hyne + children came out this p.m. We went to church this Eve. It has been a lovely day + is a fine night.

May 24. - Mon. - We washed this a.m. Started to clean Mama's room this p.m. Mama went up to Mr. Walker's after milking. Mrs. J. Warner brought Mary home this Eve. They called in here. It has been a lovely day.

May 25. - Tues. - We finishing cleaning Mama's room this p.m. I ironed this a.m. Went up to Mrs. S. Wright's to-night. Ellie Watts + baby started from Cal. to-day.

May 26. - Wed. - We cleaned the pantry to-day. My locust tree is just budding. We are having fine weather now.

May 27. - Thur. - We cleaned the hall downstairs to-day. It rained this p.m.

May 28. - Fri. - We cleaned the cellar this a.m. Mama + papa went to town this p.m. We got a new mattress for Henry's bed. I went down to Mrs. Beattie's this Eve + we made out our bill to send to Eaton's, Toronto. She will help me make my hat.

May 29. - Sat. - Cleaned Henry's room to-day. Annie + Willard went to town to-night. Recieved a letter from [L.] Daniel's to-night also a memorium card from her.

May 30. - Sun. - It is a lovely day. Went to church this p.m. Annie, Willard + little Howard came here from church + stayed for tea.

May 31. - Mon. - We washed + cleaned the wood-shed to-day. Mr. J. Walker came down to-night. Mrs. J. Walker was here this p.m.
