The following is an account of moneys expended by me since leaving for Hamilton. For board lodging and drink £3.11.1<sup>1/2 d</sup>d. Pair of Boots £1.0.0 Seeds 15 Shillings. Stove Bridges 2.6 d. Mr G. Leeds for trouble 5.0 ditto travelling expenses 8..8d. Settled with him for money borrowed at £2.10.0. Pair of pants 13..0 d. 2 shirts 18..9 d. Books 3.<sup>1/2 d</sup>d. Saturday 16th. Cold in the morning bitterly cold in the afternoon underbrushing, boiling pumpkins. Took the sow to ? hog. Settled with Kennedy 2.10.0 d left 5 d due Kennedy.

Sunday 17th Cold, dull, fine.

Monday 18th Extremely cold, went to Conaways to get proper papers on Iden, and John Gobles land, but did not get them. Paid Kennedy 5 d. spent 1.5 d on breadstuf at the village. Costed Miles Wilton's letter at Arran. P.O. Grinding corn, boiling pumpkins, underbrushing, shelling corn.
