Thawing a little. Went down for the Mail. Charlie feeling better and c ame down to the sofa in the library. Went down for the Mail and Shovelled the walk when I came home. Report that Mr. Green dropped dead. Charles phoned Walkerton. He tried to commit suicide by opening an artery (supposedly with his finger nauls). Mr. McKechninie thought he was dead when he found him lying in a pool of blood. Mr. Green says he fell against the radiator. Which story is which is to be told. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Bell called. Knit at dress.

for Mail etc. Mrs. Ferguson called in afternoon and Dr. Rannie was here. Mr. McCarrel, Mr. Farney and Mr. Wilson called in the evening and the latter two stayed for some time. Got 1st innoculation for croup.
