Miss Pearce came home in the afternoon train which got in about 5 p.m. (The late train Saturday night got to Chesley Sunday night at 10 p.m.) After tea I went to Nolan's to tell Mrs. Nolan we would not be able to go to her card party to-morrow night. Charles went up the hill for a walk and Duncan came back with him. I practised an hour. Slept inside. |

After dinner went over to Will Halliday's to invite Mrs Grant & Mrs. Halliday to dinner to-morrow night. Very stormy. Went down town for cream, ham and called and invited Mrs. Crow to dinner.
