Friday May 20th.
Very warm. Went to office for awhile in the Morning. Margaret got up at 11 o'clock. Typed my letters at home after dinner. Tied up clematis. Margaret and I went for a walk. Went to Mrs. Beattie's before tea. Wrote to Clare & Dorothy. After tea watered my borders. Duncan was up and Mr. Parsons demonstrating the Hoover sweeper which Julius purchased.
