but very dry by tonight afraid a lot of them will die if it dont rain. {lx?} {on?} 16 {Rains?} Allens Premier at theis and their about 25 rows of our own. then 41 rows of Gibson in the middle and 43 rows of Glen Mary at far end.

May 10th Strong westgales hot + dry + dust blowing every where. turning cooler tonight.
May 11 Windy + very cold. strong west winds.
May 12th. {Coat?} this a.m. white frost. did not see much damage here. some of our bean + corn are up but did not seem to be hurt. some {Illegible} cherries + Plums in blossom{!?} Very heavy frosts back m' the country they say
