Sun 25. Quarterly meeting at Dells. both ministers at Wills for dinner. Fannie over for awhile beautiful day voting day rained a little after church

Mon 26 I churned & worked the butter Marjorie washed Marguerite & Gordon guarded the cows. I put the bread in the tins & baked it.

Teus 27 Marjorie went after her teeth but did not catch old Cook in came back by Welsteads & got 2 bushels more of apples. I carried two pails of water from the school house & from the shack.

Wed 28. rained some in the night I wish I had got the apples in last night I churned & worked the butter I got the sink in from the woodhouse & fixed the wood up so there was more room. Will took 20 bus yeasterday of wheat for us.

Thur 29 I churned a little cooler, towards night: after supper who should come in but Paul just as if he had never been away. Arthur was here & Will came over

Friday 2930 Ironed real cold this morning but Paul says its not cold. he went up & paid Tom. Mary Riesenger called with the mail at night. Arthur & Paul went to Riesengers. yesterday I took the windows out & washed them scrubed the bench & got it in I could not have done it the wind is so cold from the north I churned & worked the butter. Will buchered a pig yesterday weighed 1.51 Arthur was helping at Heximers in forenoon

Sat 31 Marjorie went after her teeth & got them Paul got the Parlor stove up. I carried water & the children each carried a pail I made 4 pumkin pies & made small cakes & they were poor swept both rooms, it got so cold Paul had to bag the potatoes for fear of frost, froze hard at night Marguerite & Gordon went down to sweep the schoolhouse & stayed from ½ pail 2 Oclock untill after 4 I had a good fire in the room when she came home. I washed the table & got it in for the flowers & cleared up the woodhouse more

Sun 1. beautiful November day but cold. terrible cold wind Arthur & Fannie went to Sharps. Paul started up to Hubbys but they just got to Georges he came back & Lue Riesenger came in & stayed for tea the last day I have to feed the pigs I think

Mon 2 beautiful day. Will, Arthur & Paul buchered our pigs Paul & Arthur drawed a barrel of water befor they started. I dressed the big topnot & made potpie after dinner & cleaned the entrals. I made a big cake at night. Paul carried in the pigs & weighed them little one weighed 1.26½ barrow 148½ & the one from Will 155½

Teu 3. Marjorie guarded the cows. Paul cut the pigs up & I held them for him never got the churning done yesterday nor today. Arthur went to Port yesterday to get some oats rolled after dinner for the horses. After dinner I salted the meat - such a nice day not cold high wind southwest The youngsters let the cows get away & we had a nice journey after them & we were so tired Marjorie baked Paul was in Chippewa & when he came back & had his supper he took the horse drove over by Sebbets breakhouse where Tom McCredie saw them. The wind changed in the night - to north west & was bitter cold.

Wed 4 wind terrible cold from the north flurries of snow regular squaw winter. I swept & dusted the schoolhouse. Marguerite went to George Heximers with a piece of meat & a piece for Mrs Martin Dell. Gordon went with Riesengers bucher knife. Marjorie went to Sebbets with Mrs. McCredie, came home early. I fried out the entral pot & boiled a pot of beets & churned after dinner. Henry wanted a lb. of butter Arthur ploughing cocos for in hay & the horses
