& went to take the butter over for I churned in the morning a swam hung right in a good place on the apple tree by the gate. In the fornoon Arthur cultivated our potatoes just as I got the cherries ready again had to go in the mow again did not put the whole load on a little on the stack Hattie helped Fannie was rakeing untill the storm came up a dreadful storm struck the tree down the road & one at Sebbets. hailed over the river & here in places. The tree that was struck was not far from where Fannie unhitched. Marjorie went to Chippewa in the Sat 17, beautiful after the rain, morning took 4 1/4 butter they made it 4. 2 oz @ 20 - 83. 1 fox & 3. @ 22. 28 salt 5. B soda 5 Tanglefoot 5. Tea 15 bread 12. sugar 75. .paid 6 cts on 17 I sent 1 doz & 3 eggs @ 22 - 28. cts in cash of my money tea 15 lard 17 De 4
Sat. 17. Marjorie baked bread. & ironed. & Marguerite helped her. I baked a ginger cake & two cherry pies swept the kitchen & yard cleaned the boards Marjorie swept the front room Marguerite dusted she swept the dining room & cleaned it. Will & Lilly went to Chippewa in the morning
S. 18. meeting here Paul got here in time for church they all went from here & the other house the minister went to the Riexingers for dinner Marguerite went to the brick rode both ways & Dollie walked up & Fannie walked back she was over in the evening. Paul stayed for supper Arthur & Lue Riexinger went to Chippewa church
Mon 19. Marjorie & Fannie & the youngsters went after cherries again. got 15 qts. she went on to the shreded wheat works & I00 lbs. & 100 of flour at Dewitts @ $3.15 Will killed the blind hen & I got it ready for their dinner she weighed 4 lbs. I had to churn, Then cut the wheat in the field then went over on the hill Fannie here to tea, we got our cherries all pitted Mrs Riexinger here in the afternoon awhile

Friday 23 I churned in the fornoon after dinner I washed a blanket & quilt & some other things terrible hot. Lucy sick or that way Marjorie working on her dress yet at night the wind turned and blew a small gale & poured rain the clothes whipped for all they were worth Arthur & his father to town got his new suit.
Sat. 24 I carried over a lot of fruit made a custard pie black currant tarts & white cookies swept the dining room & ironed Marj swept the front room worked on her dress. Will killed a hen & I cleaned her. she baked bread yesterday & buns rained tonight again
