May THURSDAY, 22

Done chores. Brock digging up a pugged drain in Corner field. Da picking up along road fence and others in the Marshall place. Dull and showery. Rainy at times {symbol for and?} dull. Brock to town at night to call up {pen scratch} Harry Booth. Dull {with pen scratch} and wet.

FRIDAY, 23

Brock took pigs to Moorefield in morning and got soem grain Da clipping trees. Then workng at drains in corner field in afternoon Brock + I to town at night Harry {last name} in town. He home from the front. Dull in morning and a little shower but cleared off and came out hot. Another little shower about six.
