1. Wednesday. This is the day of the Sons of Scotland Pic Niche at Hamiltons Island. And it is all that can be desired. Our girls and boys went

2. Thursday. Very fine day W. Meeting here my offr. 25 Birdies 10. To sugar 25 cheese 35 The Martintown Sons of S. took the banner by default Randy took two prizes.

3. Pa & I went to Kenyon spent a very pleasant day. Saw Widow Duncan McLennan aged 87 Pa saw Big Alick's widow Gave Bird for R.T. {Royal Templars} fees 40

6 Getting ready for the Exhibition sending flower Astors Pansys Phlox Drum "Sweet Peas, boquet To sugar 25, To 25 lbs flour 75

7. Tuesday, not many at The Fair, today
Very fine.

8. Hot between 1500 & 2000 at the fair my ticket 25
Kate got 1st Prize Moulie 3rd for fat. Bessie 2d for 3 year Milk Cow

9. Pa & I went to Uncle Donald's. After dinner Aunt Mary & I went to the Front to call on Mrs McKey, enjoyed it very much

10. Hot Hot Mercury, Yesterday 86.. today 90.
Pa and I went in afternoon to Donald Roys. got butter 3 1/2 lbs at 16 cts = 56. Had Harriet 1/2  day 25 = 81 <s>56</s>
To 3 1/2 lb steak 25. Donald Kennedy died today his wife died in January. Hatty McPhadden died yesterday. she went to school here.

11 The load who went Thursday to Van Kleek Hill got home at 6 A.M. Birdie is very tired * {see line before September 1897}

12. Turned cool. A very pleasant day.

13. Bird, Marion, Jimie & Myself are sick. A bad cold like Lagrippe.

14. J.C. Brown left for Toronto. he will not be back until next Summer. Murdy went
