May, 1930

1 Wednesday. Very sultry. Thunderstorm and shower this morning at 4.30 and again this afternoon. Ms. {Esch's?}barn was struck by lighting and burned. The men were seeding. Ella planted peas, beans, lettuce, radish, beets, carrots and several kinds of flower seeds. Earl & Ella Miller visited us tonight.
