Monday Aug. 30th.

Got up early. No swim to-day as bathing suit packed. Helped close up the cottage. Returned a book to Clarke's. Went into Wiarton with Jack, Charlie, Charles & Frances, Mr. McVannel driving. Had dinner at the Arlington. Train very crowded. Crowd getting i at Hepworth filled the aisle. At Park Head a woman and 4 children got in the seat opposite us for awhile. Mr. Clifton (gardener) is not back yet and garden needs some attention. Trunks arrived after 5 p.m. Unpacked the whole 3 of them and put everything away. In the evening went up to see Clare and Jack.

Tuesday Aug. 31st.

Got up and went to the station to see Clare and Jack off. Met Alma for first time since her return from Guelph. Armand going away after 10 days holidays at home. Great crowd of people going - School teachers, Girls to school, Exhibition visitors etc. Went down for Meat. Wrote some letters for Charles. Worled at
