and to church at night. Wrote to Clare & Nell.

Monday Sept. 6th.

Labor Day. Helped Charles put a load of cuttings in the cellar and worked in the garden - time - 2½ hours. Worked at centrepiece for 1 1/4 hours. Went down to the Post Office for the Mail and to Leitch's for The Globe. Charles and I went to see Mrs. English who hurt her knee and cannot walk. Then we went down by Elliot's Mill, along 2nd, through cemetery. Met W.R. Paterson and went to office and I drew agreement of sale of a farm to him. Did my Literature and Memory work. Fine day.

Tuesday Sept. 7th.

Few small showers but nice day. Charles went to the High School, which opens to-day, this morning. New teacher for Moderns & Art. Principal new Mr. Wilson Classics - Miss Evans. 3rd year Science Miss McCullough - New. Worked in garden for an hour & a quarter. Not feeling very well - cramps occasionally - did not
