June 18th. Friday.

Rained considerably in the night. Cold and raining until noon. Went to the office. Called at Lustig to pay for meat and Christie's to pay for bread. Went back early at noon to do some of Mr. Caldwell's work. Mother came up in the evening with some {ceneilat?} poppies. Then Duncan arrived. I planted the poppies and walked up to the gate with Mother then called at Caldwell's and bathed Mrs. C's back and fixed her up. Still cool but somewhat warmer.

June 19th. Saturday.

{Midi?} exam (Theory) at the Manse to-day.
