Sun 25. Quarterly meeting at Dells. both ministers at Wills for dinner. Fannie over for awhile beautiful day voting day rained a little after church

Mon 26 I churned & worked the butter Marjorie washed Marguerite & Gordon guarded the cows. I put the bread in the tins & baked it . Teus 27 Marjorie went after her teeth but did not catch old Cook in came back by Welsteads & got 2 bushels more of apples. I carried two pails of water from the school house & from the shack.

Wed 28. rained some in the night I wish I had got the apples in last night I churned & worked the butter I got the sink in from the woodhouse & fixed the wood up so there was more room. Will took 20 bus yeasterday of wheat for us.

Thur 29 I churned a little cooler, towards night: after supper who should come in but Paul just as if he had never been away. Arthur was here & Will came over

Friday 2930 Ironed real cold this morning but Paul says its not cold. he went up & paid Tom. Mary Riesenger called with the mail at night. Arthur & Paul went to Riesengers. yesterday I took the windows out & washed them scrubed the bench & got it in I could not have done it the wind is so cold from the north I churned & worked the butter. Will buchered a pig yesterday weighed 1.51 Arthur was helping at Heximers in forenoon

Sat 31 Marjorie went after her teeth & got them Paul got the Parlor stove up. I carried water & the children each carried a pail I made 4 pumkin pies & made small cakes & they were poor swept both rooms, it got so cold Paul had to bag the potatoes for fear of frost, froze hard at night Marguerite & Gordon went down to sweep the schoolhouse & stayed from ½ pail 2 Oclock untill after 4 I had a good fire in the room when she came home. I washed the table & got it in for the flowers & cleared up the woodhouse more
