Mon Jan 10 Fine bright and quite warm all dry on road and very little ice or snow anywhere. I walked to Willies for a while

Tue Jan 11. Fine day and dry.

Wed Jan 12. Fine and very cold but all dry and clean. Aunt Mattie and I at Mrs Simpsons tea for Mrs Laurence.

Thur Jan 13. Mild and misty but no rain falling

Fri Jan 14. Mild and dull. I went to service for Forward Movement in the evening. Annie went with me. Mrs Davidson helped me cut a white silk blouse.

Sat Jan 15. Fine and much colder. First Saturday eve, [underlined] Skating. A Band there. Mrs Davidson and I looking in.

Sun Jan 16. Fair at first then, a east wind and light snow.

M I went to evening church. Annie called.

Mon Jan 17. Fine we washed. put ono winter drawers first. J. Edey here

Tue Jan 18. Fine and very cold 5 below zero. Sausage. a lb. 30 cents, put on woolen blanket first this year. word that Aunt L. [Lizzie - see next entry] sick

Wed Jan 19. Fine and very cold Aunt Mattie and I too see Aunt Lizzie

Thur Jan 20. Fine and muuch milder snow going very rapidly. [written above the following sentence: Arch. Daredom called.] I went out to see Marjorie very wet under foot. but bright + sunny

Fri Jan 21. Fine and muddy. snow all gone. Aunt Mattie and I at banquet at Hall.

Sat Jan 22. Fine very mild and muddy. Annie and Eliz here in eve. standing but ice soft.
